I had never heard of Warm Works before. A friend who worked for Alzheimer's Scotland said my parents, who are 80, would qualify for help or free heating when their Rayburn broke down. Warm Works was amazing. They were so kind and helpful. My Mum and Dad got a new heating system and radiators.
Worth the time involved.
Started efforts to have a new boiler installed in early August. Job (boiler) completed 1st November, draft proofing the 19th November, inspector from WarmWorks out the 26th. Excellent work done by T K Murray. Documents received promptly following work. Very pleased.

All work was done to a high standard and within a good time frame, workers that carried out the work were well competent and left no mess at end of each job. WarmWorks were great to deal with.

Update on my review 03/10/24. I continue to try and engage in dialogue with the curiously named Feedback and Insights team which is what I think passes for what this moribund organisation call Customer Services. The whole purpose of my interaction with this organisation was to acquire a more energy efficient heating system for my dementia suffering 91 year old mother. New storage heaters were installed which have resulted in the promised savings actually morphing into significantly higher energy costs thus plunging my mother deeper into fuel poverty. For example, current estimated usage for running just one storage heater for a year would be £1,370. That is the cost for just one heater. My mother has four. Add the cost of her other usage and the standing charge and the estimated annual usage becomes eye wateringly unbelievable. All this for one person living in a two bedroom house. However, Warmworks simply refuse to acknowledge this is a problem citing the heaters have been inspected and found to have been installed correctly. By this what they actually mean, as I witnessed said inspection, is they have been bolted to the wall and plugged in. No inspection was carried out to establish if the heaters actually worked. This sorry tale has been going on for over 15 months, all the while my mother being faced with living in the cold or running up an unaffordable debt, all because Warmworks have either installed faulty or the wrong type of heating. Continued promises of the matter being escalated come to nothing. Money for the Warmer Homes Scotland scheme cones from the Scottish Government so is effectively tax payer’s money. This money is being squandered by administering organisations such as Warmworks by the installation of appliances which do not deliver the promised energy and efficiency savings. I have now referred the matter to my mother’s MP and am contemplating if I can instigate legal action against Warmworks and its individual employees.

From start to finish the work was carried out professionally and to a high standard even cleaning up after each job that was undertaken and after 4years of no heat and hot water I have it all and I am over the moon and can’t thank them enough for all they have done and their hard work.

The work ethic and attitude of ALL the installers was excellent. They went about their work efficiently and cheerfully and were helpful with any questions I had.
Bad experience.
Very inflexible, no understanding of disability issues. All the work is subcontracted so if there is an issue it is a nightmare because you just have to phone constantly and nobody takes ownership of it. They have you over a barrel because they are funded by the Scottish government so not accountable to the people they’re carrying out the work for. Very bad experience.
