I had a bit of a rollercoaster experience with PurpleCV. My initial interactions with the team were very positive—the first people I spoke to were absolutely lovely and left a great impression. However, my experience took a turn when I was assigned my first writer, Louis. While his initial draft was decent, it contained a lot of inaccurate and misleading information that I had to correct. I also found the formatting quite cramped. I made my updates and requested that he check my corrections for grammatical mistakes and make slight formatting improvements to enhance readability. Unfortunately, this was not well received. What followed was several days of back-and-forth emails in which Louis refused to make any changes. His responses were unprofessional and dismissive, with remarks like, "If I thought this was a good idea, I would have put it in the original document." From what I could gather, he didn’t even open the edited document I had sent, as it closely resembled his original version—just without the inaccuracies. Our working relationship completely broke down, and I ultimately had to request a different writer. Now, despite this, I’m leaving a 4-star review, and that is entirely thanks to Tuli! Had I been assigned Tuli from the start, this would be a 5-star experience, no question. Tuli was absolutely fantastic—super accommodating, professional, and thorough. They took my edits into account, checked them for accuracy, and fully explained every change they made, rather than just insisting things had to be a certain way with no context. Thanks to Tuli, I now have a final product I’m really happy with. Unfortunately, Louis left a sour taste in my mouth, as he seemed to forget that I was a paying customer and refused to do his job—especially frustrating given the company’s unlimited revisions policy. If you get Tuli, congratulations—you’re in great hands! If you get Louis, good luck—because if you request any changes, he will refuse to make them. Thank you so much, Tuli! Louis, on the other hand, might benefit from a customer service course—or perhaps just reading Tuli’s emails to clients for a lesson in professionalism.
