Good product. A bit glitchy, but good

Most importantly, the product works for me. Nothing else really has. My sleep apnea has plagued me for years. I've struggled with multiple types of PAP machines with limited success at best. I've have modestly better, but still only partial, success with a Mandibular Advancement Device. I was willing to try almost anything, but I'll admit I was beginning to lose hope. To my surprise and profound relief, the eXciteOSA device works for me. Even better, the longer and more consistently I use the device, the more my sleep continues to improve. I feel like I'm finally beginning to get my life back. I'm tremendously grateful for eXciteOSA, and I use the device religiously. That said, it remains an imperfect technology. First, the app is quite buggy, at times very frustratingly so. On multiple occasions, the app has been so glitchy that I was unable to utilize the device, even after extended effort and problem solving. Second, though the company's materials state that after 6 weeks one can reduce from 7-ish days a week of treatment to 2-ish days a week without a loss of benefit, this has definitely not been the case for me. When I reduced to 2-ish days a week, I lost most of the progress I'd made. Fortunately, when I returned to 5-7 days of treatment a week, my progress returned. I will now continue at 5-7 days a week. Third, the device results in *a lot* of drool (and the amount of drool has not appreciably decreased for me, even after months of use). On its own, the drool is no problem, just an awkward fact. I just place a towel over my chest when I use the product. However, for an oral device that produces great quantities of drool, the device is oddly sensitive to liquid. I've had two control units die due to saliva getting into the circuitry. The company now offers an extension cord to protect the control unit from saliva. The company sent me an extension cable and it worked well, until it also died. I requested a replacement and, over a month later, I still don't have one. Fourth, to satisfy FDA guidelines, the company requires that you purchase a new mouthpiece every 90 days at $150 a piece. While I'm told this requirement was disclosed somewhere in the fine print of the product's terms of service, it was essentially hidden. It was not visibly disclosed on the website from which I ordered the device, nor was it apparently included in the set up materials or other user materials provided by eXciteOSA, nor did anyone from the company mention it to me during any of my multiple phone or text conversations with them. I'm told that many other patients are also quite frustrated by what amounts to a surprise $600 a year in replacement parts. While I take eXciteOSA's word for it that these substantial fees were disclosed somewhere in the fine print, such large, mandatory, annual expenses should have been prominently disclosed. It's not that I don't think the product is worth it. I do, and it is. I just really don't appreciate what feels like hidden substantial fees. Finally, it's worth noting that in addition to the device working well for me, eXciteOSA's customer support is generally excellent. The folks over there are typically quite responsive, friendly, and helpful. EXciteOSA's customer support is far above average, and it really helps.

I recently completed my first 42 day…

I recently completed my first 42 day session and while I have not been retested to see if there is an actual decrease in the number of times I wake up, I am hopeful. I am using the device at level 14 - and am surprised how fast I because accustomed to the higher pulsation. I do intend to continue using it on an everyday basis instead of the 2 x per week suggestion. I figured if I'm gong to try to resolve this, I should aim high. I'll check back in here after I get my next sleep study and post the results.

The company has excellent customer service! I have been using ExciteOSA for several months. It's simple and so easy to use. I've had mild sleep apnea for years, but, was never willing to try CPAP. ExciteOSA seems to be working slowly but surely. I have less daytime fatigue. And, I'm eager to continue using it.

Using eXciteOSA for my mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea

I have mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea and since using eXciteOSA since June 2022, my husband has told me that he is not hearing me snore at night. This gives both of us a better nights sleep. The device is easy to use and I can do other things while using the device.

Ok product ruined by a venal charging…

Ok product ruined by a venal charging model After 90 days will stop working unless you pay extra money for a totally unnecessary extra mountpiece. That means an extra 220 pounds per year after the over inflated costa. The product had worked - so it does appear to be a reasonable deal, but then they surprise you with this

Sleep is essential to our health

Sleep is essential to our health, good quality sleep is priceless. After years of poor sleep due to snoring, dry mouth, waking often, I tested for sleep apnea. I was borderline so was offered the Excite OSA treatment system. After the 6 weeks trial period, I wasn’t quite convinced as I was progressing too slowly to see any real benifits, I was determined and continued the daily routine. It took time, but I am able to feel the benefits of better sleep. My snoring has lessened, or so says my wife, and my dry mouth is no longer an issue. I sleep all night and wake feeling rested.

Best sleep apnea device I have used!

Review- As a whole, I really like this device and its ability to help me with my sleep apnea. Positives: like the option of a daytime therapy, that works! I like the convenience of not having to wear a CPAP at night, as it was uncomfortable and I would always tangled up in the tubing. With this device I can just use it while I watch TV or read before bed. Negatives: getting used to the device for the first week was a little challenging, particularly with gag reflex and increased salivation. Needs Improvements: A longer lasting mouthpiece, and the ability to control the amount of therapy time would be beneficial - as it is limited to 20 minutes. Making the therapy sessions longer would be helpful to increase the effectiveness of the device over time.

ExciteOSA is a Game changer!

I have been using ExciteOSA for several months. It’s nearly effortless to use, and I find it very easy to schedule. I brush my teeth shortly after waking and put the device in. I then read or do little tasks around the bedroom—the 20 minute session passes very quickly. I saw my pulmonologist about two weeks ago. I told him that I had not been using my CPAP and that I had been using ExciteOSA. He was very interested to learn more about it. Overall, he was quite pleased with my overnight stats (oxygen saturation, episodes of shallow breathing, etc). I intend to continue using ExciteOSA several times a week. I really appreciate having this alternative treatment that is so easy and non-invasive!
