The seller was in constant communication with me, answered all of my questions almost immediately, found a shipper and let me know exactly what was happening. I ended up with my piece of furniture sitting in my house within three days of purchasing it. It was a great experience, and I would definitely buy from 1stDibs again!

My favorite place to buy jewelry.

I've only recently discovered 1st Dibs (last week). I'm afraid that I might be "hooked" now. The selection (jewelry is my preference) is varied and the prices are surprisingly fair & affordable!!! I've purchased a LeVian ring at an unbeatable price (sold by the LeVian Corp. and they worked with me on pricing). Then I bid on a green tourmaline ring (large stone), and won the bid, also at an amazing price! I received both packages quickly and intact! They provided tracking & delivery info. So far, very happy with 1st Dibs, the sellers, and my pieces!

I have bid and purchased two beautiful pieces of art on 1st Dibs and could not be happier with my experience. The works were exactly as represented. Efficient and easy to access interface - and I truly appreciate the tracking of my interests and purchases.

If you ever need help with Customer Service, be aware of late and poor communication. I purchased a small oil canvas painting from a gallery located in FL, USA - it ended up being shipped from its sister company in Barcelona, Spain, although there was no mention of the item having to be imported into the USA on the item's 1stDibs listing. After being charged import duties by FedEx, I contacted Customer Service. It was confirmed that the item was indeed listed as being located in FL, USA, and was asked for a copy of the import duties invoice, which I submitted. It is now more than 3 weeks, and there are no updates, or resolution. When I follow up by email, most replies are poorly written generic emails, thanking me for my patience, without offering any status updates. I should have never been responsible for import duties, as the item was listed as a domestic shipment - these are what I consider hidden fees, and neither the seller or 1stDibs seem to take any responsibility for.

Great site; tons of unique options and vetted sellers. I have had a couple of transactions on 1stDibs and both went very smoothly. Where applicable, the ability to negotiate a price is straightforward and communication with sellers is easy. Definitely worth a try to find that perfect piece for your home.
