I sent an email to 1stDibs Customer Service upon the advice of a seller regarding import taxes and duties for another item that I was considering, but I never received a reply. It is important for a customer to know upfront what the total cost of an item would be (including import taxes and duty fees, not just state taxes) before one can make the decision to purchase an item. Another seller, however, was more informed on import taxes, so I purchased from them.

The seller was very helpful and communicative. The item is lovelier than pictured and I simply couldn't be happier. Shipping was great. Walking on air!

1st Dibs' payments system had severe technical issues that delayed my purchase for four days...

1stDibs was great, as usually. However, FedEx International was a nightmare. The package was delivered to them the 14th of December and I received it the 3rd of January. In 2 days, from Bangkok, it was in Alaska, where it stayed the rest of the time. I talked to as many as 6 employees in the International department, left my name and phone, and never received a call. I will never use that division again.

Item was as described. Seller was communicative and worked to resolve an initial misunderstanding. Excellent communication and prompt shipping

The jewelry received didn’t look anything like that shown on the website. Very disappointed. BEWARE before buying what you think is a great bargain because you will just receive cheap jewelry.

My friend bought me what he thought was an antique garnet bracelet. He paid well over $1,000.00 for this bracelet. When I received it, the clasp would never close and the bracelet kept falling off my wrist. He took it to our local jeweler who confirmed it was not real. All the jewels were fake and the bracelet was not worth fixing. We are returning it today. Be aware!
