I got a mortgage!

Kenny Burns of Chartwell finance found a company willing to consider me for a mortgage, despite my non standard circumstances.Kerry Jones then supported and liaised throughout a very lengthy and complex application. I know she felt my pain at times! Equally we both rejoiced when i got my official offer today! I always felt supported, she has been honest and has given me realistic targets and dates where she was able. Having the same person to deal with throughout is so reassuring. Kerry has also been dealing with my Estate Agent which really helped lines of communication. There is no way i could have achieved this house move without Chartwell, glad i found them.

Highly recommend Chartwell Funding , my mortgages required specific , bespoke handling. With the professionalism and diligence of Mr S McCann and Ms Challoner discussing my options and future plans , they kept me informed of each step to the end. It’s an highly administrative process remortgaging but make it easier by guiding me through it all, and I can’t thank Shaun and Maya enough. Excellent Team, Excellent Advice . Recommended!

Excellent service from Matthew Jarrett

Matt at Chartwell worked with us on a complicated property transaction that required bespoke advice and financing. Having already spoken to a few brokers prior to Matt, I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and professional. He very clearly explained our options and provided us with all of the information we needed to make the right decisions. He also was hugely helpful in dealing with the enormous amount of admin that comes with applying for a mortgage and I felt fully informed throughout the process. In summary I wholeheartedly recommend working with Matt and will certainly look to him in future for anything mortgage related.

Chartwell Funding - Exceptional Team

Chartwell Funding turned my chances from 0 to 100. I thought I would never be able to get a mortgage, but when first contacting I was put into the hands of Michelle who assured me there was something out there for me. Within a few days and her hard work I had a agreement in principle! They supplied the details for solicitors (which are very good) and helped me with any issues. Harry was there to give me updates along the way and push forward the mortgage until it was accepted. I want to say a massive thank you and would suggest anyone whos looking for mortgage help to get in contact.

I can't thank Kenny Burns and Kerry Jones enough for all their help. Kenny's advise was excellent and his work was first class in finding me a mortgage offer under very difficult circumstances. Communication was excellent. Kerry's admin support was first class also, prompt and exactly what I needed at a difficult time.

House sale is probably going to fall through.

When we signed up to Chartwell we were given a clear picture of how our mortgage journey would pan out as we needed to use a specialist lender. We decided to go with one of their mortgage partners and a solicitor on their panel and it is from this point everything began to go wrong. We were given a file manager who did not send documents to the mortgage company on time, did not give the mortgage company the explanations we have given them (We had to call the mortgage company direct to find this out), solicitors began to fabricate costs, endless questions from the mortgage company. We were advised (before) we started the process we would not need to pay a fee for a valuation until such time the lender was happy to proceed with the mortgage. However, the money was taken to start the application and a valuation done immediately, when asked to clarify what happened we were told "This is due to their streamlining of the underwriting process" that was 3 weeks ago and yesterday we got told our mortgage was going for an "internal audit" but they didn't know why. I imagine it is because there has been no real communication with us (we have to keep chasing) or the mortgage company. I have asked to file a complaint and was advised I could only do it with the mortgage provider, I asked for timelines which I could not be given, but am consistently told "this mortgage company are one of the better ones" which is a 6 working day turnaround for everything (something again we were not told at the start of the process) and so far the mortgage company come back and ask the same questions..... The bottom line is now we are probably going to lose our house sale because of the time this is taking and that is devastating. I really truly believe if this had been handled better then we would of had some resolution by now, but it the only lines we are ever fed is "There's nothing we can do, it's the timescales" Everything seemed so good when we first started and now there is no help from anyone and a continuous wait. I don't accept the excuses being given and I believe a company such as this should be more proactive in their approach to lenders. If they know something takes time then try and help your customer, not just say "I probably won't get anywhere" and wait 6 days for the same thing to happen over and over again.
