I used RGLaw for the conveyancing as I bought a house. We were cash buyers buying a vacant, well established property. I imagine that to some extent it depends on who is allocated to your case, but I was underwhelmed especially when you consider they are quite expensive. They depend heavily on technology to do business and I gave up trying to speak to the person allocated to me because their phone was never answered and I never met the person. Emails were handled promptly but the quality of writing in the ones that were not obviously generic was often very poor. Their dependence on IT is such that anyone with low skills might struggle. At one point I was required to complete a form by editing a pdf. I’m reasonably comfortable with computers and have a modern Apple laptop, but in the end I resorted to printing the document and completing it by hand then taking it to the RGLaw office in York where a disembodied voice on the entry speaker asked me to put it in the postbox. Having said all that, the purchase went through no quicker or slower than I expected (having moved house 10 times) and I felt confident that everything that should be done had been done. In a nutshell, the service I experienced could be described as competent but impersonal.
