Wir wurden gebeten diese Bewertung abzugeben: Wir sind noch neue Kunden und haben bislang wenig Erfahrung mit dem Langzeitservice. Die Übertragung und Einrichtung verlief jedoch überraschend schnell und unkompliziert! Auch das System ist benutzerfreundlich und arbeitet zügig. Bisher läuft alles einwandfrei!
Kritisch bei Problemen
Ich war mit der "einfachen" Arbeit eigentlich relativ zufrieden. Natürlich gibt es Verbesserungsvorschläge, um noch mehr Portale per API anzubinden, aber das scheint keine Priorität zu haben. Meldungen über Warenbewegungen oder Verkäufe kann man auch selbst mit einem .csv Export dort hochladen. Das ist nicht komfortabel, aber es funktioniert. Leider habe ich auch nicht so Gutes zu erzählen. In meiner Zeit bei HelloTax kam es zu Fehlern mit dem polnischen Finanzamt, die sehr teuer wurden und bei der man der Hilfestellung bei HelloTax förmlich hinterher laufen muss. Auch wurde unser Vertrag einvernehmlich nach fünf (5!) Jahren beendet, weil mein Konsignationslager in Polen aufgelöst wurde. Die Vertragslaufzeit ging immer bis Februar und der Vertrag wurde auch in einem Februar geschlossen. Die erste Meldung im Startjahr wurde erst im Sommer abgegeben. Also viele monatliche Zahlungen ohne Gegenleistung. Doch das ist nunmal der Preis für das steuerliche Onboarding zu einem Dienstleister. So weit okay, auch wenn HelloTax hier Geld nimmt ohne etwas Großes dafür zu tun. Was gar nicht geht, ist, dass die De-Registrierung (Kostenpunkt: 1.000 € extra für zwei Länder) in Polen für den Januar erfolgte und für den Januar dann auch keine Meldung mehr abgegeben wurde. Obwohl wir uns hier noch in der Vertragslaufzeit befunden haben (der letzte Monat). So kommt HelloTax seiner vertraglichen Verpflichtung nicht mehr nach, nimmt sich das Geld für die Vertragslaufzeit, das es auch schon zu Beginn genommen hat, nun erneut gegen Ende der Vertragslaufzeit und stellt seinen Dienst ein. So geht man nicht mit (langjährigen) Kunden um! Das ist Abzocke und Machtmissbrauch. Die Fristen und Termine gegenüber Finanzämtern sind kritisch und wieso man sich hier unprofessionell zeigt und nicht aktiv handelt, ist mir ein Rätsel. Fakt ist, dass HelloTax vielleicht nicht viel verdient mit dem Konstrukt und sich hier und da mal mehr nimmt, als es leistet - das wäre okay und das ist der saure Apfel, in den ich bereit war zu beißen. Was aber überhaupt gar nicht geht, ist das passive Handeln bei Problemen oder wenn es darum geht, Rückgrat zu beweisen gegenüber seinen Kunden und zuzugeben, dass man auch mal etwas "kulant" leisten könnte, wenn man sich nichtmal an den Vertrag hält... Denn dafür, dass der Januar nicht gemacht wurde von HelloTax.... ja, wo bleibt denn da die Rückzahlung für die restliche Vertragslaufzeit? Wenigstens das hätte man zurück zahlen können, denn der Kunde weiß nicht, dass HelloTax nur das Geld nimmt, aber nichts mehr leistet. C01146

Countless system errors and incompetent account management and support - business owners beware
A message to other business owners - incompetent VAT tax company. Here's the details on our experience. NOTICE HOW ALL OF THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS HERE ARE DETAILED AND THE POSITIVE ONES ARE SO SHORT. THESE POSITIVE REVIEWS COULD BE FAKE. We're a mid 7 figure LED lighting company with our own products, patents, etc. selling on Shopify and Amazon. 3 months later and we still cannot file any returns with Hellotax because their system is filled with errors and the Shopify upload did not work. Amazon integration does not work - there are errors mislabeling sales as inventory movement between amazon facilities and incorrect sales prices, which will get is in trouble with tax authorities. Shopify integration and upload template does not work - this means you have to manually process your data, but this was not straightforward and no help was ever provided. We had to troubleshoot this process ourselves over the course of a month using trial and error. When we reached out for help multiple times, the account manager knew nothing about their system, VAT, or ecommerce in general. It was bewildering how they knew nothing about their system or VAT taxes. We would ask for help either receive a copy pasted response that had nothing to do with our solution or we would be told they will get back to us with an answer and then never respond. We have now been requesting a refund for 3 weeks, and they kept passing us to other reps and making up excuses. Now they are saying they just won’t give any refund after wasting our time and not keeping up their end of the agreement. We paid them roughly $4,000 for the yearly plan for UK, NL, DE, and OSS VAT filings. We already have our VAT registrations, so we did not need this service from them. We’ve been filing our VAT for a year now, so we know how this process works. These folk are incompetent and shady to think they can keep company's money after so many errors on their part. We’ll see if they finally do the right thing and give us our money back. They have performed NONE of the services we agreed upon, and we have spent so much time trying to make this work. Do NOT work with them.

Lacks basic tax knowledge – Do yourself a favour and avoid.
Hellotax is structured with a team of front-facing customer care representatives and freelancers who have a loose relationship with the company. The customer care team is polite, but they have no basic tax training and no understanding of what’s needed to onboard a business. They act solely as liaisons. The allocated tax advisors are freelancers, and you have no direct access to them. There is no onboarding call to explain the nature of your business, no request to share sample documentation to confirm the correct way of treating recurring transactions, and if you need their help, they are unresponsive and unhelpful. Everything appears fine until the tax authorities review your returns and discover they have been completed by someone with a scratchy understanding of how VAT works in Europe and zero familiarity with your business transactions. The level of training these tax advisors receive from Hellotax is unclear, but given their freelancer relationship, it is most likely up to them to keep up to speed with applicable tax legislation. This can result in penalties for late filing, late responses to tax authority queries, and basic mistakes during submission. Every time a mistake needs to be rectified, Hellotax will charge a hefty additional fee, which typically far exceeds the agreed monthly fee. In the end, Hellotax ends up costing significantly more than a reputable and skilled advisor. Think carefully before using Hellotax, as it may seriously affect your business.
Worst service provider ever
Worst service provider ever. Everything started really bad, with contradictoy information, lots of mistakes, apologies, requests to delete my negative reviews, promises it won't happen again, service discount incentives to post good reviews, then the mistakes over and over again. Each time when something goes wrong they say they would fix it but there is zero communication between departments and support staff seem to have no idea about how VAT works in Europe, they just received probably a super-basic training how the app works and that's all, they are polite but don't really help solve problems, then again apologies, polite answers, and nothing gets solved. I have received already warning for late filings from German tax administration, and I keep my fingers crossed not to have my tax returns audited cause most likely they are full of errors and I will get fined. I asked for service cancelation, I filed the forms they requested but they keep billing me ! It seems they are not even capable of registering a service cancelation request! Don't even think about working with this company ! The good reviews you see are because they offer 25 euro discount to customer in exhcange of good reviews! In reply to Hellotax comments: The reply you provided is just empty words! I submitted the cancelation request 2 months ago, I opened a ticket about the abusive credit card charge 2 weeks ago and I only received promises it would be solved. In 2 weeks the subscription is pending renewal and still appears as active with a pending charge of 1200 eur, and nobody seem to care there, actualy you care only about charging your customers without providing any service. It is funny you have time to answer external reviews and no time to solve customers tickets. It seems you only have a sale and onboarding department and then you just bill the customers without providing any service.
