I was super sceptical .but Love the PonyO
I was super sceptical .. and now I can’t imagine life without em. They are so comfy. I have naturally curly hair and they don’t pull or snag . This is great investment for your hair I also really like the little accessories you have to go with the ponyO Very creative and ingenious product design
Great for even fine hair!
I have very fine, shoulder length, color treated hair that I'm attempting to grow out. As anyone who's grown hair out knows, putting up color treated and fine hair is a pain. Hair ties pull, leave creases, put all your pony's weight on one very thin line that can snap your finer hairs so quickly and leave you with flyaways and frizz. I don't have that problem with Pony O! I thought they might be a little odd or gimmicky, but I am on day 2 of switching my hair ties out with the Pony O (my hair has been up the whole time except when I slept for like 9-10 hours,) and I'm in love! It holds my fine hair very well. The material is almost like a silicone. I was skeptical because I thought it was fabric and would slip, but this is not the case. It doesn't bounce out, and it doesn't hold too tight. Pony O really is just right! There is still a possibility these can snap my finer hairs, but the hold the Pony O offers with its textured inside and the bendability let me slide it down a bit and I feel it doesn't stress it at all. Everytime I unbend my Pony O and take it out, I have no creases!
Found my perfect ponytail and I'm never going back to a regular one again!
After accidentally getting a knock off version from Amazon I recieved my real Pony-O's and I could tell the difference right away. I bought several of the Pony-O and 2.0 bands, and couldn't be happier with them! I have mid length fine hair and have always struggled to make my ponytails look thick and full. I've tried several products and tricks over the years and I'm SO happy to report my search for the perfect ponytail is officially over! These make my hair look so thick and full of bounce and I get compliments on my ponytails now. I recommend them to all my friends. If you are having trouble make sure to try a higher up ponytail or look at the tutorials, this product really works! Truly I couldn't be happier to have found these and will never go back to a regular dull ponytail again! PS. Their customer service is top notch, super responsive and helpful, and they care about their customers. I love supporting such a great company!
Best thing I’ve bought in a while
Best thing I’ve bought in a while! I can’t live without it and that’s why I’m getting another one! Xx
LOVE LOVE LOVE my Pony Os
LOVE LOVE LOVE my Pony Os! This is the only product that will hold my hair all day and not do any damage upon removal. Perfect for the office or the gym. I have a Piny O on me at all times. Several of my coworkers have since purchased them as well. Extremely easy to use and you will not be disappointed!
Im from Germany
Im from Germany, and a hairdresser, i really really like the pony o so so much. Its perfect for every hairtype and Situation. For Extensions also, in a ponytail, for youre hair underneeth, it hold and volume up so good.
I really like pony-o
I really like pony-o! I thought they might be gimmicky but actually they work really well for holding my fine hair in place. Also hair ties tangle and break in my daughters biracial curls - but not pony-O- she’s very comfortable. The bun barz is also easy to use and stays put. I’ve tried a few new styles from their you tube with mixed results but week keep trying. -1 star for price and shipping costs which are a bit high
Love love love
I got 2 pony-o’s, a bling ring and a bun bar, and including tax and delivery to the uk, it came to almost £50. After I ordered it I felt guilty for Spending that much on myself as I’m a single mother. I waited about a week and a half for my order, which is really good considering it came from Germany... and I can honestly say... best £50 I have spent all year. Love love love them. I haven’t quite figured out the bun bar yet, I can’t seem to get it to stay closed, but I’m sure it just takes some practice. I always loved a high pony tail but could never wear one for more than 5 minutes cos it gave me a really bad headake... have worn one the past 2 days with my pony-o for 6 hours a day with no headache! And even when my hair really needed a wash, it still looked lovely with my bling ring. I was so worried your products were going to be a bit of a “Facebook fad” but I couldn’t have been more wrong! The only thing I’m sad about is that I don’t know when I’ll be able to afford any more, cos I really really want it all!
Pros and Cons
Disclaimer: I'm not trying to give a negative review. I like the Pony O, but I feel like I didn't see enough reviews that list pros and cons. I bought the Pony O, the Pony 2.0, and a Bun Bar. I have fine, silky hair, and even though it's not that thin it feels like I don't have a lot because of its texture. I also don't put product in my hair very often. I will say that using this product for a ponytail is easy, and for a bun it works well too (and I've been using it every day.) However, the real reasons I bought this product were a) I'm not good at doing my hair, b) my hair refuses to stay if I try something fancy, and c) I wanted an easy way to do fancy hairstyles. So far, I have been really disappointed. I've had these for a week now and I've been practicing every day, and I still can't do a french twist or a french roll. I literally tried to do a french roll for an hour yesterday, and it would not turn out. If you have hair like mine that doesn't have a texture that will stay, it's going to turn into a butterfly style. It feels secure and nice, but when I see the end result I'm so frustrated because it doesn't look good. Maybe if I had great mirrors so I could see what I was doing or if someone did it for me it would be better, but on my own it's not pretty. The other issue is that they say it's not damaging to your hair, and while I think comparatively that's probably true, it still pulls. There's just no way you can put something rubber (or silicon? I don't know) in your hair and not pull out strands when it comes down. Especially with the bun bar hair gets caught in there and it hurts when you take it down if you're not super careful. Granted, the material is what keeps it from slipping, so it's a double-edged sword I guess. Overall, I'd say with silky, fine hair it's good if all you're looking for is a way to make your hair look thicker in a pony or a bun. I'm still going to keep using it for my everyday look! But if you want it to look like the girls in the videos, you're going to end up really bummed.
Complete waste of money!!
This should be a 0 because these are absolutely useless for thick hair, complete waste of money!! Tried a couple of the “supposed” XL bands and even the bun thing and they fell out in seconds. If you have fine hair then it’s probably great but having thick, heavy hair this is a useless piece of rubbish.
