It doesn't work
It doesn't work. I have shoulder length hair. Fine texture and thick volume. It hurts to put in, it pulls my hair. It doesn't stay in. Falls out so quickly with natrual head movements. Can't leave a bad review on their website, claims error whenever you try, but if it's positive it submits. Complained to their costumer service and never heard back.
Don't believe the bad reviews!!
I'm in the UK and got my pony o delivered a few days ago. I saw it on Instagram time and time again and thought I'll try it. I've absolutely fallen in love with it!!! I'm so glad I didn't listen to these negative reviews because it is a revolutionary product. Of course its difficult to get used to because it doesn't stretch and you have to learn to re do your hair in a different way! I have long ish mid type hair that is naturally wavy. I have the standard 2 pack kit and I absolutely love it, it works like a dream. You just open up the pony o, flatten it in place and then bend the end, it's not hard it's just a new way of doing your hair! It's secure, stays in all day and doesn't feel tight! It also doesn't leave horrible bumps on your head. I can't wait to buy more!
XL Pony-O and Bun Bar
Bought the XL Pony-O and Bun Bar. I have thick, curly hair and even when straightened, cannot fit the XL Pony-O around my hair. The Bun Bar is a joke and could never see this product working for anyone with thick or layered hair. These products do not work as advertised and are over-priced. Will never purchase again.
The product is ok...extra customs charge is not.
The product is ok - it sort of does what it says on the tin, although not as good as it looks in the videos!! However the most annoying thing is that I had to pay an extra customs charge to Royal Mail (on top of the shipping charge) to actually get it delivered. So another £12.80 on top of the £5.75!! Not ok!
I purchased the XL Pony-O and was very…
I purchased the XL Pony-O and was very disappointed. I have long and thick hair so assumed the XL one would be perfect. It doesn’t even hold my hair up and falls out after a while. It also doesn’t bend enough to hold up. Wouldn’t recommend. I also can’t send it back as it is classed as an international order.
Expensive and No good for fine hair
I have fine, shoulder length hair and while it held my hair ok, it didn’t look any good as you need thick hair (which Ponyo didn’t state in their website). Expensive and u only have option to buy a pair no less.
Sad slider
When I received my pony-o I immediately started using it. I have really thick long hair (waist length) and bought the one that was supposed to be extra big and strong for hairtypes like mine. It stayed in my hair for a good 2 mins before falling on the floor. The ponytail itself seemed a bit depressed as the pony-o was clearly dying under the weight. I placed it on a shelf and it has been laying there unused ever since. Maybe one day it will be promoted to hold up a plant.
Doesn’t work as advertised
The ponyo was expensive to buy and it never held my hair as strongly as it does in their ad’s. I wasn’t able to exercise in it although it was good for wearing to work ect. After 1 month of use it broke and basically didn’t hold my hair up at all. Save your money and invest in a different hair accessory
A great idea but does not hold up.
A great idea but does not hold any better than a regular pony tail holder. I even spent the extra for the Bun Barz and I can't get that to hold my hair. My hair if fine but I have a lot of it so maybe this doesn't work if you have a lot of weight in your hair.
