1 year useage report

1 year useage report. Here's my experience of the LiteLok x1. I bought 2 of these back in July 23 to secure 2 new e-bikes. About 4 months in and we both (wife) started experiencing difficulty in getting the key to insert into our respective locks. Now (1year on) every time we go out and need to lock up, there is a fight to insert the key into the lock. If it was just 1 lock OK it could be a fault. But both!?? I suspect (though you can't see it as it's covered by a protective rubber flap) that there is a sliding gate the key needs to push aside when it's inserted to gain access the rest of the locking mech. This gate (over time and use) starts sticking when it closes. Thereafter the key is unable to move the gate across. Lubricate the lock you might say. Yes tried that. Very unnerving when you're out, to have locked the bike and upon return can't unlock it. I now carry a darning needle around in my wallet so I can fiddle around and try to slide this gate across prior to inserting the key. Who want's to do that in the rain. Wouldn't buy another and very sorry I bought these. Very expensive mistake! I will be moving back to ABUS locks. Be warned. My bike has not been attacked so can't comment on the security level.

Sometimes difficult getting key in the Litelok X1

Purchased my Litelok X1 a couple of months ago. Right from the start it was quite difficult getting the key in. After a stressful experience spending 5 minutes jiggling the key around, trying to unlock the X1 on my motorbike, I'd decided I'd had enough and contacted customer service. It took them a while to respond, but they sent me a return label to get the Litelok X1 replaced or repaired. I sent the X1 back complete with pouch cover, keys and original box. Got it back a week later, minus the pouch cover, but annoyingly the returned X1 wasn't my pristine one, instead it was used with lots of marks and scratches. (They did send back the pouch cover after I let them know about). Ok, it's only a lock so the cosmetics were more of an irritation than anything else, however getting the key in this one is almost as bad as the first one. I'll have to live with it and see how it goes, but it's a concern knowing how much trouble I'd be in if unable to unlock it sometime in the future. Their customer service seems ok, not the most speedy, but not too bad, however in hindsight I would not have purchased this lock if I'd known about the difficulty of inserting the key.

Sehr holprig. Ich habe das Litelok X1 direkt auf deren Seite bestellt. 9 Tage bis zum Versand wurden in Aussicht gestellt. Da ich nach ca. 20 Tagen immer noch nichts gehört oder gelesen hatte von dehnen, hatte ich mich per Mail über den Status informieren wollen. Auf hier sollte meine Mail nach spätestens 48 Stunden beantwortet sein. Auch das hatte nicht geklappt. Nach etwa 4 Wochen ging es dann doch los, ich bekam Benachrichtigungen von Litelok und UPS. Und bekam dann doch noch mein Fahrradschloss. Aber ... Die Halterung war nicht dabei, die eigentlich mit enthalten sein sollte. Seit dem Versuche ich via Mail die Halterung zu bekommen. Never ending Story. Das kenne ich so nicht, ist mir noch nie passiert, dass eine Bestellung so schlecht läuft. Mag sein, dass die von ihrem Erfolg so überwältigt sind, dann sollten die aber ihre Antwortzeiten aktualisieren, damit man weiß, worauf man sich einstellen kann. Nachtrag zur Halterung ... anscheinend habe ich statt dem Litelok X1 Bike das Litelok X1 Moto bestellt, gleicher Preis, aber im Moto gibt es keine Halterung. Ende gut alles gut, endlich habe ich auch die Halterung bekommen. Viele E-Mails und und mehrere Wochen später habe ich das Fahrradschloss.

Litelok Twist & Go mount NO GO

I received the Litelok X1 about 1 week ago. I have not heard back from you in over 48 hours ago as stated on your website. I emailed you a few days ago that the Twist & Go mount did not fit seat tube of my Giant Contend 3. Seat tube diameter is not completely round, and has a flat side which does not conform to the completely round plastic mount. Tried to strap around the tube as tight as possible. However, because of the gap it keeps sliding up/down. The down tube is tapered so cannot mount there as well. To pay $179 USD, one would expect the included lock mount to secure the lock without any difficulty. It's misleading when you say: "The universal quick-release Twist & Go mount fits any bike style and firmly holds X1 in place even on rough surfaces." Fits any bike style??? During installation, the two 5mm hex screws were stripped; I can't even tighten them up the stiff plastic strips anymore. Attached photos - please review. Very disappointed. Can you send me extra 5mm hex screws? I can try to give it another go. Maybe it’s worth a shot. I already registered key # on your website. If it doesn’t work, I'm seriously thinking about a refund. Please reply and confirm asap. thanks, Robert Leung

Scam?

No delivery, no reply to my emails - I've ordered 4 weeks ago, the money was taken directly but nothing has happened since. No proof of payment or invoice provided. Impossible to reach anyone. Feels like I was scammed? Be very cautious with this company, I STRONGLY advice against buying there.

Forewarned is forearmed...

Ordered lock with supposed 7 day dispatch time, then after 2 weeks was sent an email apologising but saying they'd had 'so many orders' in preceding month that they were late. Terrible really as if that were true, all they'd need to do is keep website updated, which shouldn't be too hard as they're just sitting around waiting for the locks to arrive! 😂 Bit crap really. Then no email when it was dispatched, just DHL text to say arriving that day. Oh and Twist and Go mount missing, though that did arrive a week or so later Shambolic way to run your business even if product is good. This should all be about the wonderful lock, but sadly not

Top quality lock and service to match.

Ordered one of these much hyped locks for a trip. Unfortunately there was a hiccup and it wouldn’t get to me in time. Spoke to customer service explained the situation and they sorted it by 24hr delivering one to me. Used it on the trip feels reassuring solid. Fits easily on the front wheel of my Tracer 9gt Comes in a neat storage pouch. The lock has a rubber cover over it to keep dust dirt water etc out of it. Ideal for on tour security. Appreciate all the help from litelok.

Ordered 26/05/2024 a litelok X1 with 9 days dispatch. After the confirmation mail, no further information received. I sent an email about the order, nothing. Well, i will cancel my order by the end of the week. The customer experience is really poor, and most important, I can’t wait anymore for a lock and just use my bike without one.
