Extremely poor quality of service. Started off well, took the £199 broker fee, my case got transferred to a mortgage advisor who didn't have a clue. Communication was very poor, taking days to even acknowledge receipt of email correspondence or queries by myself. In the end, I had to sort out my remortgaging independently, I will not recommend any of my friends or family to use such a company for their mortgage needs. Richard Agbor

Very helpful and sorted all problems out

We've not had a great experience with this company. After initially contacting them a keen sales advisor was all over us. Calls every day and on point service. Good. We were then presented with a mortgage option and were promptly being asked for an application fee. Myself and my partner sat in on the final call before paying this fee. We were cautious about hidden fees, etc. We asked our advisor again and again about further money we would be required to pay. We were reassured that the other money they were due was built into the mortgage and we didn't need to worry about this. The weeks rolled on with a lot less contact from this company. We were dealing with the solicitors from the bank and filling out forms, etc. The solicitors explained we had a surplus that was due to be paid back to us. Great. We got the money into our account and was promptly used to clear some debts. A few days later we're getting phone calls from Your Mortgage People asking for £600 pounds... They only then explained that this surplus is due to them. At no point did the advisor or anyone from this company make that clear at any point. We had numerous email exchanges leading up to the mortgage completion. Nothing. We are now looking at having to scrape together money to pay this fee we were told was built into our remortgage and we shouldn't concern ourselves with it. The surplus included cash back from the bank with some extra, the refund wasn't exactly what they had quoted as their fee in the contract, so it wasn't something we just over looked. Certainly won't be recommending. My last mortgage broker dealt with the bank directly and we never had to pay him any money directly, his fee was actually built into the mortgage.

A brilliant team, helped all way through from the start to finish. Service was great.

Just want to say what a excellent and very knowledgable company “The Mortgage People” are from the first contact from the advisor Peter Hart my remortgage was all sorted within 2 weeks and unbelievable savings a month aswel as cutting 2 years off my remaining term time. I wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending these guys, so if you want to save money each month especially in these troubled times get in touch with these guys. Paul

Brilliant service from start to finish. Steve Brooks and Hadi Abdul were very helpful and have not only found me a mortgage that has lower payments each month but consolidated my loan in it as well. One very happy customer 😁 Would definitely recommend without hesitation.
