Why are Rebel ignoring my problems
Why are Rebel ignoring my problems? I moved house in July 2024, was talked into changing to Rebel, worst decision ever. In spite of contacting them almost monthly asking for my meters to be commissioned then I would be receiving actual bills, not estimated ones, Nothing has been done. Each time I phone I am promised that an engineer would call, was even told on 20th February that an engineer would be out within five hours, I am still waiting. Have been told my case has been escalated, still waiting. I am 80 years old, don't get heating allowance, so have to budget very carefully, my worry is that they are under estimating my bills, then I get a huge bill from them which I will have difficulty in paying. I would advise everyone to stay away from this company.

Stolen £630 and not fixing the situation
A simple excerpt of my latest email to rebel I haven’t had an answer to yet will summarise why they have 1 star. “ Hi there, I’m extremely confused by the charge on my gas for the last month. Normally I’m seeing around £13 a month roughly but for some reason this month it’s 620?!?! The lifestyle of this house is no different to other months so why am I seeing a 4669.23% increase?!?! That’s so blatantly wrong. I’m not paying anything close to that if your seriously trying to charge this as it’s so blatantly an error. I have looked at the houses smart meter as well and there’s no indication of £620 of gas being used. ” Edit: And of course Rebel will answer a 1 star review in one day (that’s a non answer) however I am typing nearly a week since my original email and I’ve not heard anything, I am currently ringing them and left on their obnoxious ringtone. I have seen on the bill the morons added last month and current month as my energy used rather than the difference- is this really that difficult? Edit 2: Finally had someone to speak too. Despite mentioning the gravity of the error there was no sense of urgency or even understanding the gravity of how bad of a mess up this is. I haven’t even got my money back and was told the bill will be reissued- well I’ve been checking the app since amd that’s not happened yet. £630 stolen and in the same bill it says gas should only cost £700 annually! Useless. Useless useless useless.
