I received a quote from Stephens which was very reasonable, but that’s not the only reason I went with them. I was told I didn’t need to pack anything that was in my chest of drawers (5 of them). I was told I didn’t need to empty the wardrobe drawers. I was told I didn’t need to pack up the bookcase. I was told I didn’t need to empty under my bed. That’s fantastic I thought, what a great idea. No need to pack and unpack the other end and it all remains in place. When the drivers turned up they said this was not the case. I had to frantically run around packing all the aforementioned belongings. They also told me the surveyor who gave me a quote makes a habit of doing so. One of my units was completely upturned as all my stuff fell out. Two of my plants were broken, and whilst I know sometimes breakages can happen, I wasn’t once contacted to see how it went or if I had any issues. The only contact I have had is an impersonal email reminder for the remainder of their payment. And even then, I have received no confirmation that I have paid in full and the account has been settled and zero thanks. The removals guys all in all were great, but I guess it is true, you get what you pay for.

Administration extremely helpful and efficient. Removal guys were on time, courteous and worked extremely hard, while taking good care. Highly recommended.

I found the experience of moving very stressful except for the actual move day. The moving team arrived promptly did their job efficiently, we were loaded up and ready to go well before I expected. Unloading was equally simply done. The team even moved furniture when we changed our mind about where we wanted it. A very friendly and helpful team. Well done.

They took great care with my possessions on collection and delivery including respecting that I had bought a new house which they protected with coverings.
