Refund not yet received after 7 days

The pendant was unsuitable and I returned it on 15.07.24 I received no confirmation of receipt. I requested confirmation of receipt on 23.07.24 and received it. However I have still not received the refund as of 30 July. Instead have been asked to fill in a direct debit form ‘ for the payment for the monitoring service’ This is a totally unacceptable standard of customer care.

Just ordered a dementia tracker watch with the outstanding help from John. He answered all questions we had and was so polite and understanding, talked us through it all and maybe this as positive of an experience as it could possibly be. Security concerns and unauthorised payment taken

I brought two watch alarms a year ago on the basis that it advertised that you could contact the watch using the phone number of each watch alarm and talk to the wearer of the watch, this feature has still not been released and is no longer advertised as a feature. I activated one of the watches and gave it to a frail user, however it proved unreliable as the signal seemed to drop off so it was not used. I should have returned the watches, but as a busy carer who also works I did not. I did not activate the second watch, because the first watch proved unreliable. A year later (at renewal) I received two debits for £78.00, one on the credit card I used to buy the watches, the other on my bank account for the single watch that I activated. I can understand the reason for one debit on the activated watch from my bank account, as my understand is that this was a renewal, but I cannot understand why my credit card was used for the other payment on the watch which was never activated. This payment was never authorised. In addition when calling SureSafe to look into this matter and search for my account the security to access my account was very relaxed as I was given my email/username and password over the phone, after I provided my name, rather than the operative asking me to provide my email address to them to verify who I was. I was also surprised when they gave me my password over the phone, rather than me having to reset it myself. I raised this concern with them via email and to be fair I got a quick email response from the customer care team leader saying that they would play back the recording of my telephone call and increase security training as necessary, and they would contact me about the payments. This was helpful. I have since been refunded the payment of £78 that was erroneously debited from my credit card, HOWEVER I am still waiting for a refund to my bank account for the watch subscription which I cancelled and a explanation about the security concerns I raised, but so far I have not had a response, despite Suresafe saying that they would get back to me. This is dissappointing as I see that previous reviews of SureSafe have been good, but particularly regarding the security issue I encountered (that actually helped me get access to my account, but this is not the point) I thought it worth writing this review. I am disappointed that I have not heard back from Suresafe with an update since I emailed again on 13/7/24 requesting this. I hope to hear back from them so that this matter can be closed and I will update this review.
