Responsive and kind

I just refinanced a student loan using Credible.com, then selecting an offer from ELFI.com. As a whole, the process was straightforward. But I have 3 complaints so I’m demoting this review by 3 stars. 1) the final rate given is higher than what was offered & accepted at credible.com. (They snuck a higher rate in at closing. Perhaps they thought I wouldn’t notice?). 2) Their representative asked for documents that had already been given. 3) Credible.com said that ELFI.com would be in touch with me within 2 days, it actually took 6. I’m glad I had patience. In the end, I have refi’d my loan with an acceptable rate. But if I had it to do again, I would choose a different lender.

The best part of ElFi was that when I called them with a question a real person answered the phone and was kind and helpful. Their interest rate was better than the federal government.
