Beware of smiling faces...

On July 7th I signed a contract for a 60 month subscription for home security services. The sales rep was friendly, listening to my needs for home security. He stated that new cameras, video doorbell and control panels would be free. I signed the first contract listing zero costs for installation and equipment. He asked for a voided check and asked me to sign an authorization to use this for automatic payment. It was my mistake not to scan up to see the entire page. I would have seen a list for products adding up to more than $4,000. A few days later Lifelock asked if I opened a new credit card account. No I hadn't. Last week I received a credit card with a balance of $4,070.34 from Fortiva Retail Credit Services. I called Fluent Home immediately about the lying sales rep., and was told, "you signed it." Because I was in the market for a home security system and felt stupid for being tricked it, I paid for the equipment. But I'm determined to write a complaint on whatever platform I can. Beware of smiling faces and small print contracts. Think about it and ask the sales representative to come back another day. Do your homework. This isn't a made up situation. I am a retired female living in St. Louis, Missouri.

alarm system hasnt worked in 6 mth.. cant get technician to repair. once technician is booked.. no one shows up.. made me resign a new 4 year contract and never shows up to fix theyre equipment.. would not recommend

Poor service

One of my doorbell camera have not worked since may, they sent a 3rd party contractor out who did not know what he was doing and did not have what he needed to fix the problem, he scheduled for another date and did not show up, when I called I was told he was no longer with the company. They sent another contractor out who said that the doorbell camera needed to be replaced, this one was replaced less than a year ago. I received the new on in the maid on today 7-31-2023, call in as I was told to do to get a appointment for a contractor to come and was told that they will have to call me back because they do not have a contractor working in my area. They want your business and your money but don't want to provide the help when there equipement does not work. I have been having this problem since May 12, 2023. I would not recommend this company to anyone

Doorbell camera keeps dropping

Doorbell camera keeps dropping I have to reinstall the program every 2-3 days. Once it’s installed this should not happen. Never mind this often. They will not fix it either. Worse security company ever, they should be shut down. What’s the point on paying for a service that I’m not getting. Unfortunately I signed a 5 year contract. I had this issue since day one. We’re at 4 years now. It won’t end soon enough. I wish I had resources to cancel this stupid contract. The problem is that we HAVE called, enough times that I stopped counting at the 20th phone call. We’ve had technicians coming to “fix” the doorbell 3 times and the issue is still happening. Now we are told that we can get a new doorbell IF we sign another contract of 5 years. Over my dead body.

Great technical support

I can't say I am impressed with the equipment. However, I had a customer service representative who was very helpful assisting me a technical issue with my panel and door camera. They called me back like they said they would when loosing connection over the phone and had been steadfast and patient staying with me for more than an hour until the problems were resolved.

They want to charge me $110 to come out and fix their screwed up piece of junk that fell off the wall doing what I was told to do by the tech who he didn't have a clue what was wrong with the system it went bad on its own had no panel and they want to charge me for their garbage I can guarantee you this we are done with fluent
