Great service start to finish. I had an issue to get my delivery date sorted as was away from home but sorted easily. Easy to order and pay. Fitted my own carpet and it looks great. Very good value.
After sales service
I bought underlay alas due to no fault of Carpets online there was a fault in underlay. Abbie who resolved the issue was very good always kept me informed even got e mailed on sat and sun 3 working days later and it was resolved new underlay delivered old picked up couldn't be happier. It's not always about the price (carpets online were cheaper by quite a bit ) its about what happens when something goes wrong and they have been first class.
Rectified the problem
Had a big problem with delivery but was sorted and smoothed out, carpet is lovely though, have used this company for years and are usually spot on but mistakes happen and they rectified it.

Awful experience
Awful experience - They have no control over the delivery schedules, expecting the customer to make all the sacrifices in terms of being on site for a three hour delivery time slot. Cancelled this delivery three times because of unsociable hours and in the end my time slot was 7.10 to 10.10!!! I live 60 miles away from the delivery address. I think this is why they get 1 star. Ive used this company 5 years ago and they were brilliant! now just a company of 'cant be bothered' WFH individuals with no experience of customer service or going the extra mile! avoid...the reply from online carpets is their standard script of words that means very little in terms of actual help.
Useless company.
Useless company. Standard big online company with no customer care. Paid express delivery and received goods. Only less than 1/3 of the underlay was delivered (my partner wouldn't know what 50m2 of underlay looks like) Complained to customer services who state the best they can do is 2-3 days further although this was no fault of anybody but generation flooring/ online carpets. I tried to explain to the very polite customer services that I have booked time off work and organised a fitter (once delivery was made), only for me to come home and realise that we were way short of underlay. I was given the usual nonsense about 'it's out of our control' or 'we can only work with the resources we have to hand' I run a small company and if I underdelivered to a paying customer I would take the hit and pay for a courier to rectify the situation the same day. There is absolutely no excuse.
Lack of respect
I decided to buy some laminate flooring for my home, which isn't an easy process. Finally decided upon Online Carpets. After I found the type of Laminate I wanted, I added it to the basket, I noticed a Black Friday discount was still valid, so added that too, which was 5% off. I left it in my basket overnight, while I got the money together. I returned to my basket this morning, to pay for it and noticed the discount has been removed. I emailed customer service, to ask if they could add it again and they said no, the deal ended at midnight. Most descent companies would honour the discount as a token of respect and to keep good faith between themselves and the customer, but no. It's not even about the 5% I lost out on, which only equated to about 10 pound off, but the fact they categorically said no, when I queried it. That decision, not to honour the discount, told me everything I needed to know about company, I almost done business with and feel I had a lucky escape.

I haven’t chosen a carpet yet :( I think it’s because this will be my forever house and I want to do it well, but I’ve alway bought carpet from online carpets and I’ve bought and sold a lot of houses. Once I find the ‘one’ I will definitely be ordering so pleased with online carpets wouldn’t go anywhere else
