Wonderful Experience with Varsity Tutors and the tutor as well.

We found a great tutor for our son on the second try (the first tutor was not in our time zone and had limited hours available). Our second tutor incorporated games and used multiple learning styles! It is great that tutors can be switched if they are not matched well, so paying attention and communicating was important so that we didn't lose too much time or money on tutors that didn't suit us. Our tutor also had issue accessing account info so they could not tell when tutoring credits were used-up. The issue was resolved easily by calling, but there was the fear that the company could require me to pay for any overage that I was not tracking and that the tutor wasn't tracking either. Overall a great experience! And we would request our tutor again.

No matter what happens do not give them your phone number. I called them for information on a drawing/art instructor for my son. Totally incompetent on the phone, couldn't figure out if they had someone or not and after 15 minutes of fumbling on the phone I just ended the call politely and hung up. Now comes the harrasment. They call our house every single day through out the day leaving messages, we won't even answer the phone anymore when we see them calling. Yes, we asked them to remove our number but apparently that is outside their skill set, perhaps they should hire a tutor on phone etiquette and customer service.

My tutor, Jennifer Honeycutt, was exceptional. I feel very prepared for the ACT after working with her. She was also kind, punctual and a great communicator. I would work with her again and highly recommend her.

We purchased a package for 1:1 SAT tutoring, we were supposed to have a tutor assigned to us in 48 hours, it has now been 4 days and a tutor has not been assigned. We have made daily attempts to reach out. We were told our account had not been activated, however we were receiving emails that we were trying to be matched with a tutor. We were also told our account had to be set up manually. I was able to access account. We were directed to sign up for instant tutoring, however this tutor helped some but not enough because they were not matched to work with ADHD. We keep being told they are working on it, but no one seems to know what is going on. We need support NOW, the SAT is in 3-weeks. This is causing a lot of stress for my son. When I asked when we would be assigned to a tutor, knowledgeable in ADHD, they couldn’t answer and put me into the member services or customer service. They work in ET, so it looks like another day will pass without our needs being met. I asked that they let me know if I should request a refund of my money, and still no answer.

Paramveer (Param) the tutor has been an excellent source of help for my schooling. He has taught me so much patiently regarding CPA courses and the pathway, and I am grateful for his kindness and humor even when I feel like the questions get tough. Thank you, Param!!! You are the best! :)

I found Wendy, my tutor to be knowledgeable, and relatable. She made a concerted effort to understand how I learn and how to help me succeed in passing the EPPP.
