Trial and error to find why pmt wasn’t processing

When asked if my child was dependent I selected no and this caused problems. My dtr is 20, and independent. She does not need care from us, and is away at school, not living with us full-time. Her permanent address is still ours. Although the system offers the option of selecting yes or no, the purchaser cannot proceed with payment. We figured this out through trial and error, and even the customer service team did not know what the problem was. The system simply would not process the payment, no indication why, no message. This was a lot of wasted time and worry, that could’ve been resolved with removing the question, supplying a definition of dependent, and having a notification as to why the payment was not being processed.

Getting policy - easy. Filing claim - no so much.

Obtaining a quote and policy is simple, fast, and easy. It's with filed Trip Mate claims that I have been very frustrated. --The UI for submitting claims feels very old and complicated. Especially for finishing a claim. Needs a 21st century refresh. --Once filed, it's very hard to find "claims" on your own website - there is no link I can find to get to open claims. --Getting a payout requires me to either pay a fee for online, or to print (!) a check. This should be easy as pie - and it's not.

This was the second year in a row I've used World Nomads for mandatory travel insurance on African tours. The online process is straight forward, user friendly, and easy to determine which adventure activities are covered. As an American living in Istanbul, this is also one of the few companies that provide coverage for anyone not living in the US or EU.

Deceptive website, would avoid

Would not use it, even before our trip started. We tried to book insurance online. Everything looked great, we booked it. However: 1) we couldn't see the policy online, all the links and instructions they sent were not working. 2) when the policy details arrived over emailthey were entirely different from what the website said. 3) when we emailed about this, twice, it took them 4 days (!!!) to respond 4) in the email, they said "website had a glitch", but I'm "very welcome to cancel the policy since it's within 10 days". "very welcome", despite them obviously being responsible for the problem. 5) Now, two weeks later, the website still has the same "glitch", who knows how many people are affected. 6) When using the website, I tried to "Download policy wording" and I get a PDF with "test pds for testing". Wth? Looks like mix of incompetence, deceptive practices and lack of necessary tooling.

Quotation for Washington State is not…

Quotation for Washington State is not correct. It states $150,000 for medical but after purchasing you only get $25,000.
