We dealt with two very helpful ladies, one in the furniture department to buy a sofa, and the other lady in the flooring department who helped us to choose new carpets. It was a very hot day, and the flooring lady even got us each a glass of water. Wonderful customer service

We visited John Doe at the end of a Sunday and were immediately impressed with the cleanliness and breadth of displays in the air-conditioned store (the latter being very welcome on a very warm day). The staff were attentive and offered help if we needed any, but left us to peruse the furniture without pestering us. We left without purchasing anything but returned again the following day as we had seen a Tempur mattress in the clearance section. Hayley was the member of staff who was kind enough to help answer questions and check that the mattress was suitable for us. She was very personable, kind and a fantastic ambassador for John Doe. The sale and delivery were agreed and delivery was offered next day, as we were local, although the day after was more suitable and agreed without hesitation and promised us a text to confirm what time to expect the delivery. Surely enough, this morning we received a text message to say delivery would be in 15 minutes....and it was. Despite the road being partially blocked by a cement lorry making a delivery opposite, the delivery crew expertly reversed their lorry into our drive and in less than 5 minutes, had taken our new mattress up a flight of stairs, with a tight 180º turn, carefully placed on the bed and were off to the next delivery. All done with the utmost care, respect for us and our home (shoes removed as soon as they came in) and all done with a smile. Sadly I did not remember to ask names, but wish to thank the two gentleman for a delivery well done. We would have no hesitation in recommending John Doe and will certainly be returning ourselves in future for our furnishing requirements. It is easy to see why John Doe have been in business for 40 years and are a fantastic family-run firm, showing how furniture and flooring retailing should be done. Thank you.

The customer care we received was excellent . We are very happy that we choose the correct sofa and the lady who be served worked tirelessly to Make sure we had too! We will definitely re visit the store in the near future.

Many thanks to Taylor who made the whole confusing issue of matresses much clearer. To “Topper” or not to “topper, did we want medium or firm, bed base, head board the choices were endless and she helped us to narrow it all down. Then I saw the bed of my dreams a beautiful oak bed frame and I fell in love! With the sale prices they had on it only worked out a small amount more than our budget so we went for it. Taylor stuck with us through all of our convoluted conversations and made it all happen for us. I’m fully confident in everything we bought today and pleased with the prices we paid. I’m pretty certain, if we had been left alone to our own devises we would probably never have made a decision and gone home empty handed, Taylors patience was endless! So BIG thank you to John Doe and an even bigger thank you to Taylor!

Having been advised to visit your store near my location by family & friends, had v pleasant visit, staff were friendly & offered advice with what I was looking for. Having been advised of a clearance section available upstairs, which had loads of items to look at, just thought a bit more space to view things would be beneficial in future for your customers.
