Worst accommodation company ever

Worst accommodation company ever ! We were offered a studio which would be ready to move in on the 6/1/2023 and today (12/12/2022) we were told that it won t be possible to move in as it won t be ready. They did not offer another place to resolve the problem caused in such a sort notice and also spoke with a lady from the sales department which actually had no idea at all about their e mail Absolutely horrible behaviour and after sales policy to students who cannot find a place to live. Would not recommend it at all

My daughter moved out of the property…

My daughter moved out of the property on 4th November 2022, having withdrawn from University. All paperwork was handed over on 3rd November and accepted by Vanessa at Charles Morton Court... It was accepted by the Manager at Charles Morton Court, as so far, the company owe my daughter rent, which is paid up to January 2023, Cash back and the deposit. To date, 17th November 2022, We have been been ignored, lied to and just plainly fobbed off. The company are quick to get the rent but will not release it back. When we've tried to speak to Charles Morton Court we are ignored. I would recommend you do NOT pay ahead with the rent because you wont get it back any time soon, it sits in their bank gaining interest. We are still waiting for the refund. I've been told its 28 working days as in the contract. We been through the contract and It DOESNT say about refund at all.. It only states about payments of rent. At this time of cost of living so bad, I think its so unfair that a student, whom through no fault of her own has to wait for her money to come back to her. It would be different if she owed rent.. Would they wait the 28 days for payment.. I don't think so.. Avoid Avoid Avoid

utter rubbish

Totally rubbish company. My son's room was full with junk and dirty. The window doesn't open the light fitting is hanging from the ceiling and the lamp doesn't have a lampshade. Try to report it and they'll say they have no record of it. Ask for a key to access the app and you won't be given one. My son's apartments don't even have a site manager employed. They're due to start whenever. Don't waste your money. This company shouldn't be trading.

Prestige Living you need to do better!

Well what an experience but not in a good way, i am the parent of a student who took one of these rooms just last week. We booked a 4bed ensuite and never got what we booked, they are now sharing with six others, freezer dirty, cupboards dirty, stairways dirty, then we looked at the room, not acceptable im afraid the mirrors in the bathroom were that filthy you could not see in them, the join in the plastic around the sink area had a big gap, very small window hardly any light coming in. I complained to Prestige Living in regard to not being given the room which was booked to date no reply. Spoke to the person on reception last Saturday to inform them that the room was not clean and totally unacceptable they promised to get a room clean on Monday still waiting. The gym equipment ie treadmills which were reported as not working seven months ago are still not working, so how they can say there is a gym on sight is beyond me. I have emailed Prestige Living twice no reply will not be booking this accommodation for the next two years once this year is up.

Fraudulent

As a reasonably optimistic, understanding person; I never write bad reviews . However, I’m writing this to share my experience with prestigestudentliving so students are aware of the poor service they may face. In early January I applied for a premium studio with prestige student living and rather than informing me that there were no premium studios left, I was given a standard studio. Now £199 per week for a smaller studio was not ideal so I decided to read up on their cancellation policy and look for somewhere more suitable. The contract states that before August prior to the academic year, if you decide to cancel you must find a replacement tenant on your own, direct them to sign the contract etc and if completed correctly you will receive the refundable deposit for your stay. If you cannot find a tenant you are required to pay for your studio until you can find a replacement tenant. Which is completely fair. After 2 weeks of calling and emailing the company, being passed through departments , being put on hold and being told to call back at certain times the following days as well as visiting the accommodation and being ignored at the door . I was finally passed through to the phone number of the specific accommodation. Here they gave me the general information on how to sign a tenant up. I followed this step by step and was helped by a very pleasant call handler. However this call handler left the company and I fell into trouble again. Even after the new tenant paid their deposit and signed the contract, I was still receiving welcome emails. I replied and said I am no longer staying here and requested for my deposit back to which I was told I have to wait a two week cooling off period. After this two weeks I emailed again and they said I’d missed the deadline and should’ve emailed within the cooling off period to get my money back. I then replied with screen shots of the exact conversation I’d had with one of their colleagues to which I was ignored. I emailed again and this time I was told the new tenant hadn’t signed the contract and agreements. I questioned the tenant and they sent me proof of all signed contracts along with welcome emails from the company. I replied to the company email by stating this and saying I’d like my refundable deposit back and they said they won’t refund me because my contract is still live. I’ve never had such a poor experience with cancellations and could not understand why a million pound company was withholding money from a student who should’ve been refunded months ago. Anyway. I started the cancellation process in March and it’s now approaching august and I still haven’t had my accommodation agreement cancelled or my money returned.

Not worth it!

Prestige Student Living are not compliant. Expensive homes, and refuse to terminate your contract despite failing to meet their promises on various occasions. Do not care for the wellbeing of students only their money! 😡

Horrible

Horrible. Advertise as luxury living. My son living in dust, nothing working apart from the builders who are still there who shouldnt be there drilling at 8am. Fire alarm going off middle of the night about 1 in 4 nights ruining his next day to study. Poor communication if any once you paid your money, you cannot get hold of the building staff. They will not answer your e mails try and you will see. As a parent massive regret. Were moving him out.
