Buy and sell from auctions.

Having totally give up with simon charles, lost money with most purchases and with the fact they hide behind obvious issues saying this hant been checked by his staff although labels sometimes come through on the product with faulty on it. So they hide behind it with the not checked by staff. I now buy exclusively at present from john pye now. Having spent a few thousand with them I can safely say I made some decent money yes now again have lost but I would say 90% of the time I have made money. One thing I very much prefer over the other is that they are a lot more up front about some issues, that's great because we cannot all view the products physically so as a trader I would say go for it, if you have not already.

Purchased item - broken

Purchased pc part for for over £200. Item was broken. Contacted JPA, they didn't want to know. Beware buying tech, not reliable and non existent customer service.

Everything was broken

I bought some Brabantia bins from this site. All still had the return labels where they had gone back to Amazon because they were badly dented. I also bought an expensive laptop on one of their 'Premium Tech sales'. And it said in the listing that it was 'FULLY FUNCTIONAL' It doesn't even work and they are not in the least bit interested in the situation, all you get is a generic unsympathetic reply. Treat them with all the scepticism you can muster!

Bids on there own lots

Bids on there own lots. Watch auctions and if it hasnt reached there minimum youll see with 1 sec left they will receive a bid adding additional 3 minutes. I seen this countless times now on the same lots, repeatedly getting bids at 1 sec left. Very shady

Bidding up their own auctions

They’re basically bidding on their own sales to increase the price and get higher commission. Not good

They sell mostly garbage from returns

They sell mostly garbage from returns, damaged or with signs of use items. Though pictures are usually misleading, not showing item "imperfections". Please read this fragment from the email I've got from John Pye: 1) VIEWING SALES - For sales that offer viewing and the opportunity to attend the auction, lots are sold as seen. We offer no guarantee or warranties on these lots, and we recommend viewing to inspect lots for yourself before you bid. Invoices for lots sold in these auctions cannot be cancelled nor may the lots purchased be returned for any reason other than as stated in our General Auction Terms. 2) NO VIEWING - For sales where viewing is not offered and/or it is not possible to attend the sale, you have the option to cancel the invoice and/or return goods within 14 days of receiving them for any reason (subject to clause 6 of our Supplement General Auctions Terms). Recently, I bought a disgusting microwave, which I posted as my profile picture, rusty and broken with signs of use for many years. The auction pictures showed only the box, and most of the customers rely on honest pictures and descrption because not everyone can travel miles to see a microwave. Honestly, I don't recommend them, unless you're willing to travel for viewing!
