Is anyone here falling for the fake 5…

Is anyone here falling for the fake 5 star reviews? Every single one is almost identical amd they always mention someone in customer services by name and how helpful they were. Noone ever writes reviews like that, they must be AI generated to make JP look better than they are.

Viewing is ESSENTIAL not just advised

In good faith I bought a network backup drive - described as a WD 4TB MY CLOUD HOME DUO DUAL-DRIVE PERSONAL CLOUD. This turned out to be an empty drive enclosure without a power supply. There were no drives, which you would not know unless you powered it up or took it apart. Neither of which I think you can do at a viewing. However if I did view it I would have seen there was no power supply and not bid on it. A lesson learnt the hard way. They went to the trouble of opening the box and taking a picture of the drive, but did not state there was no power supply. I contacted support to see if I could return it and was given the usual stuff about terms of auction and that I had the chance to view it. I'm sure I will be one of the thousands that never go back there and will stick to eBay where some basic form of business integrity exists. Post reply comment: lm sure you think posting a templated reply is good practice. However most people reading it will take away the fact you don’t give a cr@p and are not interested in resolving any issues post auction. Anyway I hope me documenting my experience will save someone else falling into the same trap.

An absolute scam

An absolute scam Sold me 152 usb-c charger cables and not one of them works. All brand new in a box so even when viewing you would not know they were defective. Whoever put them up for sale knew what they were doing and I think trading standards need to get involved. Never buy anything electrical from them is my advice.

Stay away from these people

I won a John Lewis sideboard in an auction and paid £200 for it (including VAT and auction fees) I spent £200 on expensive wood. The whole thing was in pieces in a very damaged box and no help from their customer service

Absolute rip-off

Absolute rip-off. We have just received a Smeg kettle - brand new box shown. When arrived it looks about 10 years old and very well used. Who would buy an old used kettle?? Also purchased Karcher pressure washer - showed a new machine - switched on and there was smoke everywhere. How are they allowed to sell old, broken and possibly dangerous items. Surely you expect a picture of the item you are buying? Terrible
