Some minor glitches - some were user error on my end but there was no obvious way for me to know that at first. All was good on digitizing my color slides. The slides were cropped to fit different film sizes. Color and lighting was optimized. Much better focus that I could do with my home scanner (Epson 3490 Photo scanner).

Using ScanCafe was a great experience. They make the whole process very easy to do. Simply send in your photos & they keep you updated along the way as they are being processed. The photos turned out great!

Great communication, quick and accurate service

Customer service is friendly and helpful. My slides were scanned in a shorter time than I expected. I did not realize that for any slides that had to be enhanced I would be charged an additional $19.95 and if I didn't catch it in time, I would have paid $19.95 for a slide that I may have even just omitted from the collection. Luckily, I caught it and avoided the extra charge. I also was not aware of the Zip app that I had to add to my computer in order to view my slides. I'm not sure that's correct. Maybe I can see them without it, but it was confusing. I ordered two DVD's and one thumb drive which I am still waiting for. From what I was able to glean from the previews that I approved on line, ScanCafe did a good job of restoring them. However, I still have not seen them other than the preview, and I am confused about how I can do this without getting the Zip app which I do not want to pay for.
