Bought a German Short Haired Pointer apron as a gift. The material was cheap polyester, not traditional cotton ‘canvas’. The quality of the apron overall was poor especially considering the price. The hem stitching looked like a child had sewn it. They accepted the return but I’ve been refunded £6 less than it cost me (10% plus a restocking fee!). I’ve just queried this as I would consider the product faulty but they won’t refund me in full nor will they pay the postage as they disagree it is faulty. We like to support small businesses, we are one ourselves but this is a very disappointing customer experience. I would not buy from them again. I have given them the opportunity to reconsider their stance before submitting my review but they have declined to provide a refund so I think it is only fair to warn other customers. They understand that poor reviews can damage a small business but sadly they are content to risk their reputation rather than refund £6. It isn’t a lot of money but as a customer I shouldn’t be out of pocket after being sent an inferior product.

Product didn’t look like it did online. Memory sign ordered for bereavement gift. Font in personalised name unreadable as printed so close together. Contacted seller who was unwilling to replace. Gift unusable and went in the bin. Would not use seller again.

Ordered a Christmas bauble. Far exceeded expectations

Lovely pieces for Labrador fanatics 😁 Hard to choose as everything is so nice. But chose a “spoilt Labrador” sign and Christmas card for my best friend who is also a Labrador owner/fanatic. Arrived in good time well wrapped very happy

Ordered a dog bauble on 4 November, took more than two weeks to arrive and when it did get here the quality was awful. Wrote to customer service to seek a return and was told that 'no bauble is perfect'. At £14 for a single bauble, delivered, I had hoped for more. Terrible customer service and bauble not worth the money - nor the wait.

Ordered a week ago and no indication my order has been dispatched. When chasing I was told that it is their busiest time of year and my order would 'hopefully' be dispatched this week. I see that they now have added to their issues by introducing a black Friday offer, all this shows is that they value revenue over customer service and satisfaction. I am incredibly disappointed to still be awaiting the dispatch of my order one week after ordering.

I enquired about delivery dates as I needed to send a birthday present, the staff could not have been more accommodating and the present was duly received the following day. Communication was super fast, very helpful and personal, they made me feel like a very important customer, just how it should be but often isn’t. The clock is just perfect and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Villager Jim’s shops and will certainly use again.

I ordered an apron for £27 as a gift for someone and am very dissatisfied with the quality. The material is thin and cheap, I would have expected a better quality item for this price. I would not order again.
