My favourite programme

Initially, I didn't know which universities I wanted to apply to, but the Zero Gravity Oxbridge seminars and talking to my Lse student mentor helped me realise I preferred London universities because of the culture and familiarity. My mentor has been great! She has recommended me law theory books with niche ideas which I integrated into my successful personal statement, and it helped me understand the basics of my future course better. Furthermore, she often made me plan LNAT essay questions spontaneously during our calls which was very useful during the exam when having to answer unpredictable essay questions. Overall, her recommendations gave me a lot of substance for the personal statement which LSE prioritises - I am thankful that she helped me tailor my application and strengths to London unis. The community channels have also been beneficial - I found work experience programmes through others' help, and have tried to give back to the members by offering answers. I’ve really enjoyed my experience with zero gravity and I plan to keep in contact with my mentor at university!

How Zero Gravity landed me two offers at Russell Group Universities for Medicine (MBBS)

My mentor in Zero Gravity has been beneficial to me during our sessions. My mentor has reviewed my personal statement and helped me along the application process for medical school. I could not have gotten two interviews for medical positions at Russell Group universities without his assistance. He also assisted me in getting ready for my successful interviews for medical school! I had made use of my mentor and the community postings and discussions during my time in sixth form to be informed about what was coming up in my path and possibly beyond. They were also quite reassuring whilst I was waiting to hear back from my universities, anxiously. All things considered, I believe Zero Gravity is a fantastic resource for students going through similar initial experiences as myself—I'm so glad I've found a family!

The mentoring I received changed everything

I’m the first person in my family to go to university, and I didn’t consider Cambridge until meeting Amina. I never thought Cambridge would be for me, but after talking so much with her, I took the chance and applied for my dream course at the same college she was studying at. Amina gave me a mock interview and set one up with someone who studied my course at Jesus College, so I was able to be prepared for the types of questions they would give me. She also helped me with my personal statement, which was great because I was the only person in my school applying to Oxbridge so my teachers were not fully aware of the process. She has helped me grow in confidence when it comes to school, and has supported me so well!

Who I am and my Zero Gravity experience

Being born in Italy with Nigerian descent and growing up in the UK has exposed me to an array of cultures which has been an invaluable eye opener, and over the years, I’ve grown to love sports and simple pleasures like reading. Concerning my future career, Zero Gravity has been of immense help in my college experience and medicine application. Having access to a plethora of masterclasses as well as group chats, supported me mentally when I felt like I was alone and had no one to ask for help. The presence of Zero Gravity alone has been integral to my successful medicine application. My mentor, Sehreet, was there in the most crucial moments. When I needed support with my personal statement and even deciding which universities to apply to, she was and is always quick to guide me, and I can’t thank her enough.

Would highly recommend

Growing up as a second-generation immigrant in a working-class family without a strong reading culture, I found that Zero Gravity has acted as a bridge between the lack of academic role models in my personal life and my goal of studying English at St. Andrews University. My mentor, Nadia, has been incredibly supportive in my journey through retaking my A levels, offering exam advice and help with my writing in a dedicated and understanding manner. She has influenced my approach to writing; encouraging me to organise my thoughts and write concisely to ensure my passion translates onto the page. Additionally, Masterclasses such as Matt William’s super-curricular series have aided me in my engagement with literary texts- leading me to discover lectures and podcasts that have enriched my reading. Overall, Zero Gravity has been an incredible tool in fulfilling my potential, teaching me skills I can use in university and beyond.

Great mentoring platform

My name is Ricardo, and I attended a medium-sized state school in West London. I plan to study Economics/Economics related courses in September and have received offers from Cambridge, UCL, Warwick and Bath. Initially, joining sixth form I did not aspire to join institutions like these but with further support from Zero Gravity I was confident to apply. Also, Zero Gravity allowed me to successfully apply to these top universities due to the constant 1-1 support and with the expertise of my mentor who had previously attended Cambridge for Economics. This combined with the consistent personal statement feedback proved to be so valuable and I really thank my mentor Nick so much for it. Not only that, he was a great person to talk to and he just really made me feel like I would fit in and thrive in an environment like that.

As I have immersed myself more in the…

As I have immersed myself more in the field, I have developed a strong passion for the law. As a result, I have decided that I wish to study law at university and become a solicitor. I enjoy helping people which law entails. I have demonstrated this within my church where I help younger children in their sessions. I am also eager and determined to achieve and make a difference. Zero Gravity has been instrumental in making me believe that my dream is possible. It has helped me set the foundations for knowledge and experience I could gain. I love being part of a community, sharing and gaining knowledge with others on the platform. In particular, my mentor has been there every step of the way through giving me mock interviews and tips for university while supporting me during difficult times.

Zero gravity

have found zero gravity to be a small yet constant and supportive part of my college life which I feel has helped me to prepare for university. My regular calls with my mentor have informed both about the major parts of university, as well as just the small things like pursuing ballet, as this is something we both enjoy.

Good providers but some improvements.

Could improve 100% at customer service but the scholarship Zero Gravity has provided has granted me an immeasurable amount of flexibility to my course which I am forever grateful for.

AMAZING!!!

I am very grateful for discovering Zero Gravity and had a positive experience overall. My mentor was very helpful in always answering my questions, and providing mock interviews. It was especially beneficial that my mentor attends my top-choice university, so I received personalised feedback before my interviews, and knew exactly what to work on, and I could ask questions about the course. My mentor also gave advice for A levels, which helped me to improve my revision techniques, as I had a set plant to follow, so I felt more confident this year for my exams.
