My Great Mentor
Matching with Chess, my wonderful mentor, has been a blessing as she catered her insights to equip me with valuable skills for every hurdle I faced regarding applications but also general 6th form life: using my voice when writing extended responses; appreciating how to articulate myself during interviews; and understanding how to enjoy the process and use it as a learning experience.
My experience with Zero Gravity
My experience with Zero Gravity has been absolutely amazing. My mentor's help was so valuable that I got accepted into all of my 5 uni choices including Warwick!( I did not expect to get in) My mentor helped me with understanding hard concepts, preping for uni exams and helped with building my personal statement. I would recommend this programme to anyone in year 12.
Zero Gravity
I discovered Zero Gravity by word of mouth in Year 13 and was immediately engaged in the different threads for my course, which made the application a bit less daunting, seeing other people my age were going through the same things. After a couple months I got assigned my mentor, who I had a session with almost every week, and she helped me prepare my application. Honestly, I’m not sure if the outcome would have been the same without her advice and encouragement, which made it so much easier. Even after the application season, my mentor stuck around to help me with my A Level revision when she had time to - something I very much appreciated.

Zero gravity has been essential to my development not just as a student, but also as a person. My mentor was there for me during the small end of chapter tests as well as big mocks and ultimately the real exams. I'm very grateful for this experience and I would recommend zero gravity to everyone going through A-levels. The emotional support my mentor gave me was invaluable and I will always cherish this experience till the very last. Thanks Zero gravity, you're the best.
The all round support and ease of use of the platform is great.
My mentor guided me through my personal statement and admissions tests. Aliza has helped me and walked me through many different career paths I could’ve taken and reassured me with important information that has helped convince me to do what I truly have a passion for even when unsure of my own ability. She gave me revision resources and basic tips that could only come from someone who had been studying the same thing so she had a different approach and understanding when helping and teaching me. She gave a great insight on what her day to day like is as a student studying what I want to study and gave very honest pros and cons and how different the days can be. She also comes from a similar background so I found it easy to relate and made me feel a sense of belonging and that I could and should be able to achieve what I want.

It was a very good experience and I like that updates on the course I wanted to take at uni and all information about the work experience I could get where on there which was of much help to me
Very supportive!
My experience with ZeroGravity has been really good. I was matched with a mentor that shared my interests and put in a lot of work to make sure I get the best out of the mentoring sessions. I received support with my personal statement and university application which helped me to get offers from all of my choices. ZeroGravity has an excellent space for learning and sharing experiences and knowledge with other students and mentors so everyone has a chance to benefit and meet new people. Would definitely recommend!
Without a doubt worth it!
I wasn't too sure what to expect from Zero Gravity, when I first heard about it from my school. But I am so glad that I signed up. The process of being assigned a mentor was quite quick and simple. I was assigned a mentor who was studying what I wanted to study at university, so the help I received was very specific to that subject, and was so helpful for my personal statement. I received constant help and support with my university application, specifically with my personal statement as mentioned. My mentor did not rest until my personal statement was perfect to send off. The mentors are there for you with any doubts you may have, and the company deals with any problems or queries you may have too, like I ended up switching mentors (not for a negative reason, just due to their exams and time) and Zero Gravity were very understanding. I had many doubts about university life, safety, student loans, accommodation, etc, and my mentor was so helpful in answering my questions and now I feel less worried and at ease. There are things my school didn't end up telling me, which i found out from my mentor instead (e.g. Accommodation is usually first come-first serve), so this was definitely very crucial in my preparation for university. The platform itself allows students to have masterclasses (online call) about a range of things, from medicine (UCAT) to finance or Oxbridge, there are so many different calls they have to help students, and there is also a great community, in which you can talk to other students and ask any questions. I think it was an amazing experience, and I recommend to anyone and everyone. It's amazing that something like this is free of charge for students. Very much worth it!
Zero Gravity Mentorship Scheme
Zero Gravity immediately provided my mentor who were also best suited to my personal goals such as doing the same course in the university I aspire to study. My mentor and other staff in the platform never hesitated to help me with my university application, general wellbeing or any technical issues I had. I can wholeheartedly say Zero Gravity and especially my mentor played a crucial role in my successful five conditional offers.
Brilliant!!
At the end of year 12, I knew I wanted to go to uni and I knew I wanted to study STEM, but I didn't know how or where to direct my energy to find a path that would be fulfilling for me. I've always been enthusiastic to learn and achieved good grades across my subjects, but I was hesitant to pursue Oxbridge - partially for fear of failing. Zero Gravity was recommended by a friend of a friend and I signed up because I couldn't think of reason not to. I'm so glad I did. Every session with my mentor was brilliant. I felt both challenged and supported, and quickly grew confidence through solving interview questions. My mentor was very helpful in researching and helping me decide upon a list of applications, and in advising for my personal statement. The process of application went from seeming herculean to trivial, as each step was broken down and explained by my mentor. I felt thoroughly prepared for my admissions assessments and interviews and now I have offers from all of my applications. I am very excited for the next steps and can't believe how far I've progressed. Zero gravity was empowering and I looked forward to each of our mentoring sessions. I am very grateful. Looking forward to signing up to be a mentor myself one day!
