Zero Gravity is an EXCEPTIONAL platform

The platform is full of people who are 100% committed to helping you reach your dream University. The one-to-one mentoring made a huge difference to the quality of my application, from the personal statement to the entrance exam and interviews. The community will always work hard to answer any questions you have. I highly recommend you apply because it really does work!

A helping hand

The whole process is very thought provoking, also the fact my mentor is only 3 years older than me really helped us to communicate and understand each other, so progress was very efficient

all the help given to me

As a year 12 student last summer, attending an economically deprived school, I found Zero Gravity and the mentor I was assigned, to be of invaluable assistance. She provided me with extensive support throughout all my university endeavours, primarily offering initial insight into the application process, requirements, and the right college choice within Cambridge. She assisted me in identifying my strenghts and weaknesses, as well as highlighted relevant experiences I had, to include in my application to display well roundedness. She provided me consistent feedback on my many personal statement drafts, further helping me refine my writing, ensuring that my statement effectively conveyed my motivations, relevant experiences, and aspirations. Earlier this year we worked through an entire textbook of past questions, to prepare me for my entrance exam. She particular guided me when encountering challenging questions. In these instances she broke down the steps for me to repeat in the exam, as well as provided me with strategic ways to tackle such questions whilst under time pressure. Without the support of Zero Gravity, I really don’t think I would’ve been able to get through such a rigorous process!

My experience with Zero Gravity has been useful!

My experience with Zero Gravity has been very helpful and informative so far; I have been able to develop a great relationship with my mentor. They have been able to tell me more about life at university on a more personal level as well as offer practical advice. This has been very useful as no one in my family has attended university and therefore having this guidance when looking for universities has been helpful. We did some revision sessions towards exam season where we would plan and structure essays. I found this especially useful as I was having trouble with my essay writing and zero gravity allowed me to access direct help from a mentor with extensive knowledge in that area and provide direct feedback that would improve my skills.

Zero Gravity Mentor Programme

My Zero Gravity mentor has been a huge help with both the academic side of applying to a highly competitive university, but also with my confidence that I will fit in and be able to succeed once I get there. Prior to starting my sessions with my mentor, I truly did not expect to receive an offer from my first choice university as I really did not see myself as the type of student they would want. My mentor has opened my eyes to the diversity of the student body at the University of Cambridge and encouraged me to work hard to achieve my goals regardless of my background. Her help with my personal statement was particularly valuable and our academic discussions about topics we are both interested in were extremely helpful in building up my confidence prior to my interview, which was a part of the application process that I was particularly hesitant about prior to engaging with the Zero Gravity programme. Whilst our sessions have definitely helped me with my application (which I am extremely grateful for), I have also really enjoyed the time we spent together as I have never had the opportunity to discuss my academic interests in an environment where I was challenged to elaborate on my arguments and defend my points in as much detail as I did with my mentor. I think that the discussions we had have certainly developed my debating skills and have prepared me to be an active member of the university community once I get there. I feel honoured to hold an offer for the same course, at the same college, at the same university as my mentor, something which I am almost certain I would not have achieved without her unwavering support.

Zero gravity for A-level students

Community function allows students to help support each other through final school years, masterclasses are extremely useful, easy to navigate, and cover wide range of topics, and the mentoring programme gives students 1 on 1 support for any and all issues they come across (whether that's UCAS related, about independent study, or just time management). Zero gravity has been a big help for me this year, and anyone who is doing their A-levels should definitely sign up because the extra support I have received has proved invaluable.
