Easy & helpful company to deal with. Helped me through every step of first of all working under umbrella payments, then setting up my own company. They have helped me so much, made it all seem so easy. Nothing has been any trouble for them, setting up a business account, using accounting software, all explained & virtual hands held through the process. Accountancy side is poor. Did my tax returns and they can't get it right, one year I had to pay £20k back to HMRC, last financial year I they told me I'm due a tax rebate, HMRC are saying this amount is double the amount they calculated. This current tax year they have not used the right tax code so I will have a massive bill again....I have left now as they are useless

I was recommended to this company by my agency as this is my first time contracting and the experience so far has been brilliant - very detailed and helpful initial call with Dexter and then the emails all arrived promptly the next day with clear instructions. You never get a second chance to make a first impression and my first impression has been excellent

They payment dates were very accurate which is the main thing, whoever when it came to clarity, I thing they have a lot to improve. My pension was discounted twice before they register me with the pension provider and I managed to cancel it, when you contact them, no satisfactory answers are provided. Same when you want to understand the calculations on your payslip, it’s hard to get a satisfactory answer. I guess that’s all aligned to the very competitive fee they charge…

Very bad experience with this umbrella company. They deducted thousands of pounds from my pay (without my consent). They also calculated tax incorrectly. When contacted about this they were really unhelpful and quite dismissive. This might well end up costing me hundreds of pounds and hours of time and stress.

Customer service is a bit lacking initiative/something I can’t put my finger on - it’s a bit awkward and not particularly reassuring . However I had no major issues and found the account manager’s were a good escalation point that saved the relationship to some degree . Tried another provider and can safely say they’re much worse so given an above average score .

I have had a great experience with Umbrella. They have always been really helpful with any queries I have had and I have not had any problems in regards to my payroll. Everything has always been completed on time with no delays. I highly recommend umbrella.
