Excellent service from Umbrella via accountant Nicola Worthington over the last 3+ years.

Nicola Worthington has been a credit to Umbrella Accountants. She has always offered considerable professional advise to myself on my accounting and my tax affairs as and when required over the past few years. I would recommend both Nicola and Umbrella Accountancy Services.

I started my company in 2016 when I was offerred 6 months contract work. Now sadly I'm closing my company as I've moved back to PAYE work. Missed off the payroll again today for the 4th time. Tried calling since 5pm and held on for 30 mins only to be cut off. Was an excellent service and today, its the worse I have ever experienced.

4 months in payslips were still not uploaded to the portal. No notification of payments due. Other peoples monthly money texted to me. Failure to pay on designated day. Zero response from emails querying monthly payments. Good luck.

I have been with Umbrella for around 2 years now since they set up my limited company for contracting purposes. I have found their service to be very reliable and really enjoy the ease of using the freeagent service. A special mention also to my accountant Nicola Worthington, whose knowledge and expertise have been so valuable. Along with that, her availability to answer questions at critical times have been really vital for me and my business - thank you.

This is worst umbrella company I have dealt with. Never answered emails or calls. Tax repayment was held and all sorts of excuses were made as to why this could not be repaid. As the previous review said....avoid this umbrella company at all costs!! You have been warned!

Avoid like the Plague! If you'd like a company to pay you late, be consistently unavailable when trying to call, (to the point you'll doubt there are more than 2 people working for the Company), make a hash of your payslip and provide you with the wrong tax code, then this is the company for you!

Overcharged me on the payroll margin and now trying to get them to reimburse me over £500. No response to emails, customer service non-existent - utterly incompetent. Avoid at all costs.

Bad, Bad, Bad. Expect to be chasing money, incorrect payments on expenses. Tax payments all over the place to a point where you don't know which or what is right anymore. Customer service is non existent, rarely call back and never action any queries. I even copied in the guy who responds on here, Peter Langham. (His email address is in one of the responses) it made no difference what so ever. ********************** Thanks for the update Peter. Call me old fashioned but most of the contact has been on the phone or direct with individuals. Dexter seems to be the only one who can sort these recurring problems out, seems a shame that when he is off, no one else can help.
