Avoid.

Avoid. You're lucky if you get a good instructor that will contact you and provide what you paid for and at least communicates with you. However, if you have ANY problem with the company or instructor, you won't get any basic human being treatment. They only care about money, providing a good service is irrelevant to them. As you can read in other reviews, good reviews are about having a good teacher, but not the company.

Not sure it could get worse (scroll down to see summary)

God where do I start? I signed up for an intensive course with this company, completing 25 hours. This I felt was well suited to me as I felt comfortable on the road due to previous lessons being done beforehand. Before I had even started my course, I was assigned one instructor and had heard no further about when my lessons would be starting. The day of the proposed lesson start came around and I had heard nothing. I then get an email stating how the instructor assigned only taught females (which is fair enough), but shouldn't they have known about this, and had filtered accordingly? I enquired about this, and they merely only made excuses. Moving forward with a positive attitude, my lessons started with my actual instructor, and this started relatively well! Other than a lack of communication of when she was available, I had no real complaints. We had started off a little slow, considering I had previous experience, but this was nice to build a foundation. Over the coming months, yes months (considering this was supposed to be intensive and over with, within 2-4 weeks according to their website), communication with the instructor and the organisation broke down, with the instructor rarely telling me when she was available, and when she did it would be last second, when I would already have my shifts for my full-time job. I had booked time off to complete this in an intensive manner, but this was not utilised. She then further made me feel bad for not being available for lessons, due to my commitments to work (which I am not going to apologise for, for making a living). This then accumulated toward the end when my test was due. My instructor then contacted IntensiveLessons, not me, to inform them that she believed I wasn't ready for my test, and then I needed a further 20 hours. Now I could understand that I may not have been completely ready for the test, but 20 hours was excessive. I felt I would have been ready within 10 hours easily, maybe even 5. Was this recognised at all? No. Did I have to ask why she felt this way, and to ask for feedback? Yes. I then cancelled my test, and then iterated the fact I wouldn't be booking on with them again. To finish this off, my instructor then never contacted me again, and I missed 2 hours of lessons, that I had paid for, and I was told I couldn't received a refund. To summarise, these people will take your money, mess you about, take far longer that what had been promised/agreed upon, and ultimately end up ceasing contact in order to come out financially better, with no regard to the customer at all. I have left here feeling embarrassed, cheated, and scammed. If I could suggest one thing to you reader, this was my experience, and if you take away one thing, don't book your lessons with these people. Look elsewhere, and you will be far better off. Thank you.

Refused to return deposit without providing any services

REFUSED TO REUTRN OUR DEPOSIT, they don't reply in a timely manner, they don't return phone calls, some staff are just plain rude. they expected a single female to just turn up at a random address 11 miles away. we never had a lesson or any test as we decided early on these people are very unprofessional and they refused to return the £175 deposit even though we hadn't used any of their services. They also try extremely hard to have any negative reviews removed.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

Booked in November and was getting played around for about 6 months before even getting an instructor then I had 2 8 hour lessons and then the instructor didn’t want to do any more with me as he kept pushing the dates further and further. Absolutely no help from intensive lessons and took about 3 days for them to reply! They’re the absolute worst company I’ve ever spoken to over the internet and I would never ever recommend them to another person! Also brought an extra 8 hours after then they pushed my test date another 2 months so I requested a refund a week later and they do a cancellation rate at £25p/h so lost out on £250 for nothing!

Bish, Bash, Bosh!

Purchased an intensive driving course with IntensiveLessons in December with lessons to start early January. I was assigned a local driving instructor from Arnold called Ian, he opened his calander up and made sure to fit my lessons in when possible, which was hard due to working monday-thursday. Just had my pratical test today and passed with flying colours at the first attempt. Thumbs up to Ian and DrivingLessons who booked my test and made me feel comfortable and confident.

This took all of the stress away

This took all of the stress away! They booked my test. Sorted out an instructor who lived close by. AND I passed! I took the 15 hour course after failing 3 years ago and being scared to start again. So glad I did it this way. No stress and got a pass. Very very very happy!

Would recommend!

I booked on for 10 hour course and passed first time!! My driving instructor Nida was great!! Very helpful and a great instructor. They got me the lessons quickly and my test date booked aswell! Would definitely recommend

So I booked this course for my 17 year…

So I booked this course for my 17 year old son and the instructor called while my son was at work. He was overall rude and disrespectful but his comment and I quote "I'd rather talk to the horse rather than the horses mum" was what finished me. I phoned to complain and didn't really get far so I cancelled and lost out on a whole non refundable deposit. They didn't even ask why I cancelled which is telling in itself. Do yourself a favour and avoid this company.
