From start to finish, our experience with COAT paint has been brilliant! We hummed and harred over a what felt like a thousand paint colours from different brands and always went back to COAT. We finally managed to get a sample of "The Old Corset Factory", and knew it was the one straight away. It's absolutely stunning and possibly my favourite colour we've ever used!! We ordered it and it arrived within 36hrs, smelling of the loveliest scent. Nice touch COAT! I've also exchanged a few emails with a lady called "Sarah" in their customer services department, who is lovely and only too happy to help, no matter how silly the enquiry might seem. So big Thank you to Sarah! My husband, the dubious spendthrift!, actually exclaimed it was like painting with chocolate and was majorly impressed. So much so, we've already agreed on the colour for our bedroom, from COAT of course! Yes it seems like a fair amount of money for some paint, but having renovated a few houses over the years, some things are worth investing in. Like paint! Someone once said to me "you pay cheap, you pay twice!" Not with COAT, worth every penny!

I was initially really disappointed as realised at point of ordering that delivery cost to Northern Ireland was not equitable to that of mainland UK. I really wanted the paint as I loved the colour and ethos of the brand. COAT very kindly addressed the delivery issue and were really fantastic to deal with. Thank you for being so decent :)

I placed a wrong order by accident and COAT were so immensely helpful. I contacted them via Whatsapp (the number is on their site) and they not only got back to me immediately, but they cancelled my order in an instant. All while being super friendly and patient. I shall now re-place my order (with the right products ;) ) and cannot wait to use their paint after reading all the amazing reviews! Ps I would highly recommend the swatches - they stick on the wall so you can leave them up there for as long as you like while you decide.

Came across this brand and loved the colours being offered. Ordered a few swatches and decided to go with 2 different colours for different rooms of the house. My husband did the painting and commented on how good the coverage was just after one coat and didn't really use much paint. The final colour matched the swatch colour perfectly. Really pleased and am ordering another colour for the living room!

I was attracted to this brand because of its ethical values and its story. However, I wouldn't have continued to use them if the paint hadn't been so good. It's easy to get a professional finish. I've painted two rooms now with a pot of paint waiting for the third. I'm now also considering the garden shed if I can muster the energy!

Excellent paint, fantastic customer service, fabulous company looking after us and the planet

This is by far and away the best paint I have ever used - and I use a lot of paint! I recently re-decorated my home for a quick sale using Dulux Trade and Mylands, then almost at the end of the project I happened upon Coat which I used for one exterior eggshell application and was amazed at the difference - four coats of Mylands did not give as much coverage as one coat of Coat. And now less than a year later both other brands are showing significantly more signs of wear than the Coat paint. Since then I have gone on to buy many more litres of Coat paints including Matt emulsion and interior eggshell which I am equally happy with. Obviously the colours are perfect. And the emulsion goes on great and gives amazing coverage with one coat being 'almost' enough. Like many eggshells this one is a little harder to apply, but the coverage of colour and the strength of the finish once dried is remarkable. I have seen some of the bad reviews and not sure how their experience of the paint is so different from mine but I am so confident in the customer service of this company that I don't mind taking a very small risk that something goes awry as they will clearly fix it straight away.
