Diamonds USA either lost or stole my $4,000 ring!!

Diamonds USA either lost or stole my $4,000 ring!! I wanted to sell my wedding set so I requested the mail-in estimate kit from Diamonds USA online and received it a few days later. I packaged my wedding set (TWO rings -- an engagement ring & a wedding band) exactly as the instructions explained. I dropped off the FedEx envelope at a FedEx Center inside of a Walgreens on 03/16. I got the confirmation email & followed the tracking number – it was delivered on 03/17. Diamonds USA sent a low ball offer on 03/21, which I immediately rejected and requested my rings back. When I received the package from FedEx, there was only ONE ring – the wedding band. I immediately alerted Diamonds USA of this on 03/23. They did say they’d look into it but didn’t provide me with any actual updates until 04/03 (despite me checking in often asking for updates). They did send me a 1-minute video clip on 04/03, which shows someone opening an envelope & pulling out a bag with 1 ring in it. However, they don’t show the contents in the other envelopes so it could have been there. I have no way of knowing what happened between the time I dropped off the envelope at the FedEx center and the time that video footage was recorded. Diamonds USA has not been helpful or proactive in having this time period investigated further. I also have no proof that the ring wasn’t in one of the other envelopes, which weren’t shown or examined on the video any further. For all I know, the envelope could have been switched out by FedEx or by Diamonds USA & the ring stolen. Or the ring could have been in the other envelopes & either lost or stolen. They were incredibly dismissive when I continued to ask them about my missing ring that I had sent them. I sent the TWO rings together in the same envelope. I asked them about filing a claim with their insurance company, since the rings are supposed to be insured during transport. They initially refused to file a claim but finally agreed & emailed me the claim form. The claim was supposedly filed with both CJ Environmental (their parent company) & FedEx. I emailed them all of the paperwork & pictures to file the claims on 04/05. I then continued to check-in with them on the status of the claim, as they again did not provide any updates. They finally told me on 05/02 that the claim was denied. They emailed & mailed me a denial letter from CJ Environmental but I haven’t seen any documentation from FedEx showing that a claim was ever filed. Unfortunately, I cannot file a claim with FedEx myself as FedEx will only accept claims from the company. I definitely regret trusting them and sending my rings in for an estimate. If you want to try selling your ring, I recommend doing it in person only.

From What I experienced they’re a legit company

My experience with Cashfordiamondsusa.com my first experience was amazing! It went well and pleasant there was no problem about the transaction. I got my check after 10 days. It was fast you’ll get the appraised value - day after they get your stuff. I’m still waiting for the check for the second transaction. I hope it’ll be as smooth as the first. I will be back on here to give my second ratings for the second transaction. But so far, so good! They’re legit company. Try them!

Super easy and safe process. (I would have liked a little more in value, however I did accept the offer). Communication on status, mailing, returns and payment is excellent. For jewelry that is just gathering dust in the drawer, it’s a very good option without even leaving your home.
