Clueless and aloof throughout the entire purchase. I then had an email afterwards saying a piece of paperwork of missing- having already completed. Incompetent.

I used Direction Law for both my original purchase of a shared ownership property and then the staircasing transaction last year. Both transactions were initially straightforward. I had numerous different contact and the file was passed from person to person and I never knew who was owning it, but I was kept up-to-date during the process and it completed on time. Unfortunately, I've come back to review with only 3* as I am now selling this property using another conveyancer who has unearthed a number of paperwork errors made by Direction Law in the Land Registry filing which are holding up my current sale. I've been asked by neighbours if I'd recommend them for their staircasing, and now I would struggle to do so. Let's see if they respond to my current conveyancers with any urgency.

AVOID. Disgusting and awful company who took my money and did not register my home on the Land registry for over two years! Hard to get thru the phones and no option to raise a complaint. They shall not be practising law as they are full of unlawful people themselves.

Avoid this bunch of solicitors. All the bad reviews you see here are very true. We had a really stressful time dealing with them between August and November 2023. They responded to emails when they wanted. They rudely gave instructions here and there, failed to answer calls, and had even refused to have a video call with us. They even refused to meet with us one day when we traveled all the way to their office in Wells (3.5 hours) to discuss and resolve the issues. They did not even offer us a seat in their reception! But kept me, my wife, and daughters standing at the door in the cold for over 30 minutes! Eventually, we terminated our engagement with them, got another solicitor and we have now completed the purchase.

Personally wouldn't use this company again. If you like to speak to your case worker on the phone especially during a scary time of buying a house it won't happen unless you go through the receptionist. This was also the same with the compliance team who check your documentation. Professionals just respond to emails, albeit usually within 24 hours which was positive. I was also sent an incorrect Lease with information that would of caused me to pay more rent and I was the one to find the mistake. Just felt a bit worried using them during the process and not very re-assured considering the amount of money I incurred to pay them for work.

Impossible to reach out to their staff. Called the reception several times in order to speak to Rebecca and Tamlyn but have never been able to reach them at all. Wrote them a couple of emails, not getting a reply at all. I wonder if their people are actually working.

I transferred funds to cover service charges, electricity, and energy as part of the completion process. However, these charges were later deemed inaccurate by the housing association, necessitating a refund. For the past seven months, my solicitors and I have diligently pursued the return of these funds, yet they either deflect our inquiries or fail to respond to our emails. Given this experience, I would never consider utilising their services, and I would actively avoid any involvement with them in future transactions. Their lack of responsiveness and accountability has caused considerable frustration and inconvenience, and I have no confidence in their ability to handle any future dealings effectively.

Awful service including delays , administrative errors and lack of response. We used them to buy a shared ownership property and was impressed with their reasonable quote and recommendation on the share to buy website. Delays include asking for our mortgage offer 6 weeks after it was uploaded to their portal- what were they doing during those’6 weeks? They got names and dates of birth wrong, missing people off of the inhabitants list. Then sending mortgage paperwork to the wrong address after we had to move out of our previous property as the sale wasn’t completed in time - amongst many others. Constant excuse of ‘waiting on searches’ or ‘waiting for enquiries’ but no information on what they were waiting for until I asked and got a list to send to the housing association solicitors myself. Seems we had to chase a lot of stuff ourselves and push them for completion dates . To top it off we made a formal complaint and didn’t get a reply within the 8 week period - despite my emailing to ask for information on how complaint was proceeding. On the final day they replied and promised to get back to us in 3/4 days and never did ! We have now passed complaint to the ombudsman. Avoid at all costs UPDATE Sept 24: Made formal complaint with Ombudsman who are proceeding with their investigation. This firm didn’t even respond to the ombudsman’s initial enquiries so have now progressed complaint to next level !

Had the most awful experience with this solicitors just under 2 years ago whilst buying our new build home. Raised our concerns multiple times without response or success and have since had to return to them about their poor representation and not picking up very specific areas of failure. This evening I have received a response from Andrew Theoff, a supposed Partner who has been nothing but patronising and presumptive. Our issue stems from the fact that as experts they have failed to notify us of key information but have chosen to totally ignore this and the impact it has had and kept us waiting 3 months for a response that is less valuable that the qualifications these people hold. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Horrific - avoid at all costs. The whole experience from start to finish was awful. We had no communication with our case handler who disappeared and continued to ignore calls and emails. We didn’t complete on the day we expected as she left it until that morning to request funds from our lender - continuous delays throughout the process. We spent endless money on next reg postage of documents that were requested weeks late. Our estate agent advised us we were not the only ones having issues with the same solicitors and this seems to be an ongoing issue. The whole process tarnished our experience of buying our first home. I submitted a complaint on 24th October and have not had any response to this.

I used some law firms by reputation, Mcgee Solicitors Londonderry, Personal Injury and Criminal Law has none. It is a new firm since around 2019 by the solicitor. I can only warn you so you don't suffer. He does not reply to your emails, won't defend you when you need it. Won't take any proactive measures to strengthen your case, he'll just let the other side control and delay the case so you lose. Unless you have so much evidence (doesn't happen in real life) that you could win it yourself. Very incompetent solicitor. No opponent is intimidated by his measly office. He asks for reviews from vulnerable clients. To prove this review, their retainer letter is navy and silver at the bottom, list of fees is in tiny print. As a solicitor his laziness and attitude is 3/10.

I paid them 50K INR amount of money for assistance with obtaining a work visa for croatia, they promised to provide work permit with in 3 months and handle all the paperwork and processing on my behalf, but after receiving my payment, they became unresponsive and unprofessional. Having used Leeds Day Solicitors for employment and …civil matter. Having used Leeds Day Solicitors for an employment case, I thought it would be a very simple and straight forward task to ascertain information on who owns the land that the solicitors building resides upon at Godwin House Huntingdon PE29 3BD following a land dispute. However, think again ! I called them a few times explaining that I was a paying client who had used their services before and gave my name. I explained that PCM - a private parking company had inadvertently issued me a parking control notice and issued me a £60 fine, alleging I was parked upon private land at the site, when I certainly was not. I was parked upon Public Land outside the site boundary and had a UK Land registry map to prove it. However, despite Leeds Day Solicitors claiming that they are experts on the subject of Conveyancing, Commercial Property, and Commercial Litigation, they claimed that they had absolutely no idea who owned the site, and that there was no way they could find out who did. This beggars belief and somewhat brings into disrepute their competency. I am certainly not impressed with their lack of professionalism and the manner in which they thought they could just fob me off with an unbelievable and ignorant answer.

I recently had a Will completed by this company. I requested that the Will be left so future amendments could be made at reasonable costs. Apparently £425 is a reasonable cost for a small single amendment. The reasons for such a high charge left me confused at where the time was being charged to add an additional person.

I sort advice on a contentious issue with my father trust. My stepmother's executors refused to pay my father trust a sum it was due. I used the High Wycombe office. The sum owed was £21,000 so my legal budget was small £4000. The solicitor I dealt with was helpful and explained that he needed to read my documents, but he was confident that he could help and understood my budget constraints. Invoices came in and the advice was he would write to the other party to suggest mediation. I explained I had already done that with no success. But I was assured that a solicitor writing to another solicitor would have more impact. The letter went out and failed in its objective. I was then told we should seek a barrister to review my claim, that I should expect fees of £30,000 for the next stage. My original budget was spent so I was left high and dry. I pursued the claim myself via the County Court - and won.

Very slow service and trying to get a response is impossible plus letter was addressed to someone who was already deceased which was very upsetting.

He was extremely knowledgeable, supportive and able to deliver unsavoury realities with a level of warmth I wasn't expecting to recieve. He was highly responsive, very open about what to expect and I followed all the advice given which resulted in the best possible outcome, which was to keep my child. Hannah supported me with my court hearing as Adam was unavailable and she was definitely on the same page in how she conducted herself. I couldn't be happier with my decision as this was a stressful process and I can see just how (with my previous solicitor) I could have been left feeling throughout what is a lengthy process.

I used Blaser Mills for conveyancing my mothers house sale and our appointed solicitor Zara and her team have done an excellent job; prompt, reliable, no-nonsense communications between ourselves and the other parties solicitors, transparent about the costs involved and very helpful in general. Would highly recommend from our experience.

We have used Blaser Mills last year and it was a very poor experience. They did not follow our instructions, completed the sale and we were left to later find out that the instructions given were not followed, leaving us in a complicated situation. They also deny fault even though we have written evidence of the services we requested and an invoice that shows we paid for those same services to be requested. Do not recommend this firm.

Following the passing of my mother, her Will was passed to Blaser Mills, although originally placed with Francis & How. I assumed we would be treated fairly regarding costs. Asked to quote for obtaining Grant of Probate, we were quoted between £13k - £15k (inc VAT) that also included cashing in assets - probably no more than a total of £35k. My mother’s Will was not complicated, no pensions, no other property - other than a shared home with my father who is still alive. Following the extraordinary amount we were quoted, I’m pleased to say we had the same service provided by Zedra UK Ltd for £1500. Perhaps Blaser Mills had the decimal point in the wrong place?

Dossier également complet transmis à Weclaim début 2020, en juillet 2020 via leur cabinet d'avocat (la soeur du fondateur Weclaim), je reçois un accord transactionnel à signer et à retourner, le fondateur s'est donné la peine de me relancer par téléphone pour retourner rapidement cet accord. Depuis l'avocat ne répond pas et Weclaim disparu.

Weclaim a pris en charge mon dossier suite à litige avec Ryanair. Tout semblait suivre son cours jusqu'à l'année dernière. Mais depuis plus aucune nouvelle et impossible à contacter. À éviter absolument.

J'attends depuis 2017 que Weclaim me donne des nouvelles de la procédure engagée pour me faire dédommager de l'escroquerie de Volkswagen, et malgré mes courriels je n'ai rien eu ni reçu. C'est une grosse arnaque. Ont-ils perçu le dédommagement en mon nom ? qu'en ont -ils fait? Car quand je lis les avis je constate que Weclaim a récupéré des dedomagements mais ne les a jamais transmis. Quand j' envoie un courriel pour avoir des nouvelles, je n'obtiens aucune réponse.

Septembre 2019, Delta Airlines égare mon bagage à Atlanta. Dossier confié à Weclaim en octobre 2019. Janvier 2020 Weclaim m'informe que Delta a remboursé 1376€ et me demande un IBAN pour procéder au remboursement. Malgré plusieurs envois et tentatives de contact, je suis obligé de constater que cette entreprise a choisi de garder mon remboursement, autrement dit elle s'est octroyée une "commission" de 100% !!! Arnaque ou vol, appelez ça comme vous voulez, le résultat est le même, j'ai fait confiance à des arnaqueurs. Info complémentaire : les deux numéros de téléphone ne sont plus attribués mais les deux sites internet sont toujours actifs.

Une arnaque. Censé vous faciliter la vie, ce site la rend plus compliquée et vous garanti de ne pas toucher un euro pour les dommages subis. On vous assurer que le dossier est entre de bonnes mains et puis ensuite silence. Aucune réponse depuis des mois malgré de multiples relances par mail, chat, téléphone. A éviter !

I want to warn all people not to give money before the service is completed. I am very disappointed with the unprofessionalism in the preparation of the offer and the later problems caused by the poor analysis of the case. They are very much to be avoided or not given money before the completion of what they promise. They told me that they would finish the task in 7 working days, it took 2 months, I was returned from the airport, I lost a lot of nerves (and money). The owner of the firm and one of her staff are rude, unprofessional and have no understanding of the family court system. They completely f^^ked me over in my case on numerous things. Things I specifically asked for that they just didn't put through on the orders saying it was on there when it wasn't. Pressuring me to agree to things I was not comfortable with and giving my abuser WAY more than they were even asking for. I wouldn't even trust them to be able to cook fries at maccas let alone defend me in a hearing. I got rid of them after the first hearing due to their incompetence and just flat out rudeness. Clearly if someone is going through the family court system they have a high conflict or complex history with the other party. Well don't expect any kindness, sympathy or even general respect from the pathetic excuse for a law firm cause you won't get it. They are rude, nasty and just flat out horrible people with no sympathy or compassion for abuse victims. I dont know how you sleep at night with how disgusting you treat people. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope karma gets the both you.

Out of the blue, I received a call from Rockwell Legal, 1st time 2 days ago. Never heard of them. Their name showed up on my caller ID. I let it go to voice mail. It was a recording threatening legal action if I didn’t respond. They never said whom they were trying to reach. I live within my means, and pay my bills on time and I know I’m not behind. Don’t get sucked into speaking with these people! I’m old enough to know, this type of scammer will fish for you to give them your info. Don’t fall for it ! ignore the threats! The phone number I received this call from was: 484-282-3519. I received a call from a “restricted” number today also. I think this scammer is relentless. Consumer beware! I will update if this scammer continues. FYI: Even if a “collector” has your name, beware- it may not be a real collector. They’re after your info. Don’t fall for it. A legitimate collection agency sends letter, saying exactly where your original debt was from. They will contact you by mail, and you will recognize your own debt. I hope this helps.

Hubby got a phone call from them, it was a recording! It said a name but it wasn't a human. Threaten to send legal papers to his job or his home, well, he hasn't worked since Covid hit, he got approved for disability so no need for a job anymore! LOL Also they won't call and warn you that they are going to sue, all that is is a tactic that they use and CAN BE SUED FOR!!! Make sure you document every threat and contact a lawyer. One of the 1st question they will ask is did you tell them to stop calling and you have to have told them this to get them!

The phone calls have been threatening on occasion.I have requested on several occasions that they send me a copy of the bill. They state they have and they have two addresses for me. My former address is in another state and I haven’t lived there in 10 years. At my current address I receive mail regularly and am responsible. The company has stated they plan on taking me to court each time I've spoken to them in the past 6 years which they have never done. I have told them on several occasions if the bill is sent to my home I will pay it. They state they have sent it but refuse to send it again OR they state they will send it via email I have explained to them that after reading up with the Federal Trade Commission I specifically need the bill sent via United States Postal Service. They refuse to do so they then say a court document will be brought to my home or job and this never happens. Let me reiterate: I TELL THEM EACH TIME I HAVE NO PROBLEM PAYING THE BILL IF THEY MAIL USPS AND THEY REFUSE stating they do not have to do so.

Haven't been to the doctor in many years. I've always had good health insurance thru my wife's work and Medicare since I have a spinal disability. I don't owe any medical bills aside from Medicare which takes $180 from my check every month. My wife lost her job, I have no insurance other than Medicare which is useless without a primary and these vermin are harassing me ceaselessly, threatening me and demanding I call them. The individuals in question exhibit a lack of professionalism. Initially, upon receiving a call, I informed the caller that I was not aware of the account being mentioned and had confirmed with all three credit reporting agencies that there was no record of such an account under my name. Despite this, the caller insisted that it was indeed my account based on the bank name associated with it, and implied that I was attempting to evade a debt. Furthermore, she mentioned the timing of income tax season as a means to pressure me into resolving the matter, claiming to be doing me a favor. However, I must address the fact that I do not receive tax refunds, and it was inappropriate for her to make assumptions about my financial situation. When I attempted to express my concerns, the caller became defensive, rude, and eventually placed me on hold. While I am unfamiliar with this legal group, I firmly believe that professionalism is a fundamental aspect of any interaction. The representative from Rockwell Legal Group with whom I spoke clearly lacked this essential quality. Regardless of the nature of the job at hand, whether it involves debt resolution or any other matter, it is imperative to conduct oneself in a professional, respectful manner, while refraining from using discriminatory language, making unwarranted assumptions, or engaging in biased practices.

This is a SCAM!!! Do NOT give them your information. As soon as I told them to send the “lawsuit” to my actual lawyer, the lady on the phone got very defensive asking what I had a lawyer for, which was none of her business, and she became very defensive and hung up on me. If you are being sued you will be served legal paperwork. These people are low life scum, it’s sad.

I have received numerous calls from this company for a DeShawn Johnson! They go into a threatening phone call with garnishment and stuff. When I explain that there's no person here by this name, I'm told they will remove my phone #(6 times I've been told). Today I received another call and was told the same BS. But today I had enough I've made a complaint with the AG of Minnesota and have contacted an attorney to get these morons to stop calling my house for someone I don't know and have never met!

I am writing this review just to share my personal experince with this law firm. I came to them with a request for representation in a divorce case. After having a few consultations with Mr. Dorin Holban, I felt ok to continue and sign a retainer for him to be my lawyer. On our intitial meeting, I went over the details of my case and we had an agreed upon timeline for how things were to proceed, howver that quickly went sideways. My file kept getting delayed because he had other work, and I was later told that he wasnt even comfortbale with my case because my children were involved, something very strange for a lawyer practicing family law. I had no choice but to terminate my mandate with them (after 3 weeks of being delayed in a very difficult situation), and when I terminated I asked for my file and the wrk that was done (which is my legal right) and I was not given it for 1 full week, and until I paid my new lawyer to request my file. Magically, after not giving my file, in the one week delay there was enough work to have eaten up my entire retainer. Even when I asked for my bill on the day of termination I was not given it, but given it 3 weeks later !!! I honestly felt it was such a scam and that I was being taken advantage of. I emailed the whole firm letting them know the whole situation (with proof of emails and calls) and that I would be filing a report with the BBB and the Barreau du Quebec. Only then did I get a response and was given a portion of my retainer back. I had made it clear that I was delayed almost a month because of their negligence and that I had to pay more now for new lawyers. I explained that I felt it was fair to give me my entire retainer back and move on, but still, they waned to keep some money. So while the returned the majority of the retainer, they did not return it all, and still expected me not to write a review. I think you should really beware before using this firm and be clear about their policies in regards to work and retainers, maybe see if you can just pay by the hour so you avtually pay for work done. Be careful . . . I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

Terrible Service, they cared more about the payment than anything else. (I understand it's a business, but they were very rude). They Lawyer that was assigned to me did not even take the time to listen to my story. He mocked me for what I was asking for and tried to impose her own views on me saying "Why do you care about something that's not worth anything in money" talking about this of sentimental values. I cut our call short. I DEFINATELY do NOT recommend this Firm..... there are So many in Montreal that are 1. Cheaper and 2. who offer a much more respectful service 3. who will understand you emotionally and ethically. Learn from my mistake. Go to an other firm.

Reclamo gastos de hipoteca en el 2017. pago 100€ para que me representen, he cobrado ahora en el 2025. 473€ arriaga ha cobrado de intereses sobre 300€ mas los 100€ iniciales. y eso que he ganado el juicio. 8 años de espera. que como los intereses se los llevan ellos. el dinero que me dan, una verguenza. me descuenta el procurador. y la mitad del gasto del registro. segun dijo el juez. no vuelvo a metrme en juicios.

Después de una espera desde 2018 para los gastos hipotecarios ahora en 15 01 2025 me aviza que el juez se equivocó por no poner la tasación del piso y que hay que recurrir otraves ! Pues a esperar otros 7 años supongo !

Buenas tardes, mi experiencia es con una sentencia ganada con costas a nuestro favor hace año y medio a mí banco por cláusulas suelo, expediente número 171114136. En la sentencia no aparecen cantidades ganadas por lo que hace unos meses llame telefónicamente y una señorita de Arriaga me dijo que son 1900 euros del capital y los intereses que eran 2000 y pico euros por la parte de los intereses que fueron cobradas por el banco ilegalmente según sentencia. El problema viene cuando recibo la transferencia del dinero en la que recibo solo la parte del capital, quedándose Arriaga con el total de los intereses ganados en la demanda que injustamente me cobró mi banco. Por todo ellos me pongo en contacto con atención al cliente escusándose la señorita en el contrato que firme en su momento. Hay que señalar que el día de la firma del contrato una vez que me explicaron los detalles de la contratación del bufete,la dije a la abogada que me entrevisto, que entonces si ganábamos el juicio ellos (Arriaga) solo se quedaban con las costas y la provisión de fondos, y ella me dijo que sí, nunca hablo de los intereses. Por todo ello me veo que he contratado a un bufete de abogados que me han defendido por una cláusula abusivas de un banco y ellos me aplican una cláusula camuflada en un contrato, que no me explicaron en la entrevista personal y que no hubiese por supuesto aceptado y que se han quedado con los interés que me cobraron injustamente mi banco y que he ganado judicialmente. Me parece vergonzoso e inmoral que un bufete haga estos chanchullos abusivos y lo oculten en letra pequeña en un contrato nada claro, estoy muy decepcionado, y espero que no le ocurra a nadie más.

Fatal, me pidieron los gastos hipotecarios y me consiguieron 520€ de los cuales se quedaron inicialmente 100€+320€ de su parte el mínimo 250€+IVA. Tuve que hacer un papel del notario para procuradores etc. Osea al final perdí 30€. Vaya negocio, bueno de todo se aprende

Llevo cinco años con reclamaciones por tres tarjetas, solo se solucionó el de una y por qué yo pacte con el banco. De cuyo pacto Arriaga se llevó un buen pellizco. Tengo una sentencia firme favorable de otra de las tarjetas, hace más de un año y sigo sin cobrar. Ahora me exigen costas de apelación, que he pagado y Arriaga ni contesta a mis correos ni atiende nunca al teléfono. También llevo más de tres años con lo del Cartel de coches, ninguna información. He cambiado la valoración porque he recibido la llamada, que debería haber recibido hace mucho tiempo, contándome paso por paso como están mis expedientes. Ya no me encuentro tan desatendido y veo que todo sigue su curso a pesar de lo desastrosamente lenta que va la justicia en este país.

Llevo más de 8 años esperando que me ingresen lo que me deben de la sentencia judicial. Imposible hablar con ellos por teléfono y en las sucursales nadie te da solución. Nunca confiéis en este gente ya que parece que en cuanto tienen tu dinero se olvidan de ti y no dan ningun tipo de solución. Huid!

Started with anchor in 2017..My account and wages were garnished multiple times..I was down to the last few months of one account and for whatever reason just stopped making payment..the account was taking off..I could never get same answer or close yo by the employees..Finally they said they can do nothing for me after over 4 years of BS..I took a chance with them and got burned..I have a an attorney that no longer practices law with them I can’t get no answers cuz it shows he still represents me though he’s no longer practicing..thank you for the worse 4 years of my life!!!

I have been with anchor since 2017. I recently finished my program 2 years after they had initially said my accounts would be settled. Once my final account was settled, I had about $3800 left over in my account. I was always told this money would be given back. However, I come to find out anchor had taken this money as a ‘service fee’ for the exact amount, to the penny, of my leftover funds. I have called and emailed the only response is “it’s service fee”. I spoke with supervisor Mark who was rude and unhelpful. Let’s not forget that any money saved by their services which was admittedly a lot, I have to pay thousands in taxes for. Also don’t forget that my credit score was decimated for years. From my standpoint this is criminal. Buyer beware!!!! All I want is my left over money!!

I was enrolled in their program initially for 48 months. Tack on another 18 months to that and the fact my last draft was supposed to be February 15 yet my checking account was drafted again 2 weeks later. I had to pull my last credit card from the program because I worked with the creditor directly and negotiated a better settlement offer than Anchor Law Firm. Their representatives are liars. I just spoke with James who indicated that unfortunately an extra draft was necessary to make the final payment when in fact it was confirmed when I agreed to the settlement offer my last draft would be February 15 and I would receive a refund of approximately $200 from my savings program account. In looking at my savings account program account it reflects I'm getting a $22 refund. This settlement program is a rip off. Please never do business with Anchor Law Firm. Besides every representative having a different line every time I called, I was also sued for a credit card that was registered in the program. I sent every piece of paper I received from the court but nothing was ever done and my paycheck was garnished weekly for 13 weeks. Anchor Law Firm says they're sorry and here's a 17% refund because the card was removed from the program. Not that Anchor Law Firm ever cared but during the 5-1/2 years, my credit rating was terrible (and still is) and I lost my home. I wish I recorded how many hours of my life were spent calling Anchor Law Firm because they won't call you back. If you write to them they will send you an email directing you to call them. Once they gave me the contact information for my Anchor Law Firm assigned attorney. When I called I was instructed by voicemail to leave a message or text my message. Never spoke with the attorney directly and he mentioned nothing had reached him regarding my account and he referred me back to the customer service telephone number.

I started with Anchor Law Firms debt resolution program in April, 2018 due to several health issues that forced me to live off credit cards. The amount of debt enrolled was $50,009. My total cost for the service was $33,602 with estimated settlement amount of $21,003 going to creditors. I was told multiple times that I would pay the $33,602 and my obligation would be finished, that I would not have to pay anything more. My savings was supposed to be around $16,407. The contract was for 52 months, paying $646.10 per month. After the 52 months passed, and the amount $33,602 paid, I was told I needed to keep paying since the total debt had been resolved. The estimate After 52 months, 21% of enrolled debt had been settled and 33% of creditors resolved. The amount of the one debt that had been resolved was $14,192. I agreed to a settlement amount of $9320.00. On their customer portal, I can see general information for this debt. There is a line called “Adjusted Balance”. The amount in this line is $10,351.79. I called and asked about this but was not given an explanation where the adjusted balance came from. The total settlement amount to this creditor was $19,551.79 - I actually paid more than the amount enrolled. This was due to Anchor allowing this to go into litigation with the creditor. The amount of the debt wasn’t negotiated down and I got stuck with the plaintive’s attorney fees. I have not received any documentation or explanation as to why the resolution was nearly double the settlement amount that I agreed to. After the 52 months Anchor was still withdrawing the monthly payments from my account. I called multiple times about this. The first time I called, I was told I had 3 more payments due and then I would be done. The second time I called I was told that I had to keep paying until all the debts were settled. During this call I was told the debt for $23,598 would take another 3 years to resolve and that I was expected to continue paying until that was resolved. I was also told at that point that the total amount I would have to pay around $27,000 since this debt had gone into litigation and I would have to pay the plaintiff’s attorney fees. Again, Anchor allowed this to go into litigation. I am looking at paying the total amount of the debt, plus plaintiffs attorney fees. The debt for $11,469 could have been resolved 2 years into the program. When a creditor makes an offer to settle the debt for a lower amount, Anchor is supposed to call and email to get approval from me. The creditor offered a settlement of about half of that debt, however Anchor never contacted me about this offer. I became aware of the offer via email to let me know the offer has expired. There was no contact prior to this. This has been a horrible experience. After paying Anchor over $33,000, my struggle with debt still continues. Stay away from these guys - your better off dealing with your creditors on your own.

Initially, this program started off great! Send creditors to them, pay Anchor and they take care of it all. Then shortly after, found it nose diving downhill. I gave a list of creditors I wanted to enroll and ones not. One specifically not, I paid down to use for Christmas. Oops, they sent a representation letter which caused the creditor to cancel the card. That was a bad Christmas for the kids. Over time, errors started piling up. Offered a settlement for thousands more than owed. Got me one good settlement so far out of the bunch. Others not so much. Just had a settlement paid down to one payment, creditor sent back last payment and sold the debt. 6700+ bill, paid 6400+ and now offer 3700+more to settle again because the "creditor recalled the debt". Customer service first line, seems like they are there to settle the simplest issues but passes so much to someone else. Never have received documentation that anything is paid, so have to rely on their website. Admin fees racks up - multiple a month. $12 second day delivery fees on most transactions each payment. Plus $2.95 transaction fees each payment Since August 2018 - 16% settled - 60k+ paid in over 45 months. Want to contact me -6363 is the last four. There are so many more - my opinion - future possible customers avoid at all cost! It is nice to tell a creditor to contact Anchor as they represent you. That was the beginning feeling. Later is was tell them and hope they will help and does not feel like they have my best interest or needs at heart. Now it is more of a hopeless feeling.

So I was really hopeful about this program, but at the end of the 4 years, they have left me with 3 cards that basically have now almost doubled their balances, and have said there is nothing else they can do. Now want me to pay basically a house payment for another couple years. Which considering the current situation I am in is not something I can do, I might end up losing everything now because they couldn't do what they said they would. I now have almost as much debt as I started with after paying almost 30k to them. This was a complete waste of time and money and now I am worse off then when I started. And everyone who calls me is just like "oh well" "nothing else we can do for you" so now these three cards left are now such high balances I have no idea what I'll do. Possibly end up homeless, because I'm not capable of paying the amounts that they were able to negotiate. Also on balances way higher then original. Not to mention their practices suck, they called one time with a settlement, the caller told me my payment wouldn't change. They never sent me a settlement letter, but then magically I got another call that I didn't make the payment, even though I was told it would be made out of my account with anchor. I was told I forfeited the settlement because I didn't make the payment directly to the creditor. But I never received any settlement paperwork, nothing. This has been a nightmare and now I have no idea what I will do. Thank you anchor for making promises that couldn't be kept. Then increasing my debt by not doing anything with 3 different accounts for 4 years. Thank you for ruining my life, when I entered this I thought this sucks but I was trying to it file bankruptcy and do the right thing. Now I'm paying far more then the original debt. Not to mention it's the end of the agreement so they are like, sorry don't know what to tell you. Thanks alot for destroying another life.

If I could give this company a minus 5 stars, I would. They just "accidentally withdrew $408.55 from my bank account. While straightening this mess out, I found out they have never negotiated my Discover card down, so after years of interest,late fees, over limit fees, I now owe discover 10 grand. Oh, and that is after making my 408.55 payments to Anchor Law Firm for all these years. So, the " pleasant young man" from my previous review, just pleasantly strung me along. What a SCAM!

Hello - we have an account with Anchor Law Firm and no one is replying to our emails and when you call the telephone number provided no one is picking up the phone. We've been trying to get in touch for almost a month now with no success. How can we reach Anchor? We are concerned as you are processing our money without replying to any of our communication emails. Where did everyone go?

Buyer beware, you pay more in fees than they save you. When you sign up they will have you stop paying cards, which will destroy your credit. After the paperwork is signed it is impossible to reach them, I'm constantly on hold for over 2 hours due to "system upgrades" ant time I call. I am only trying to get an estimate to pay these people off and be done with them and it has been over a week with no answer. Stay away, save your money and frustration and negotiate yourself, there is nothing they do that you can't do yourself. They have more than once caused me problems when a creditor took me to courst because they take forever to respond!

The service was amazing and fast. I highly recommend them for resolving housing issues!

Our family have used Antony Fyson to buy and sell several properties now. We have always found both himself and his assistant Vicki both friendly and professional. This would have been five stars but it took over six weeks to pay us the balance owed following our last sale.

Dumped straight into DocuSign with zero explanation. Major problems with ThirdFort. Expectation to do everything on line. Brusque communication. Sluggish reactions to a problem, minimal feedback as to progress. Trainee solicitor was more professional. 3 months later they demanded £3.53 (their mistake). Again no explanation or apology. We were long standing clients before merger. We will never use them again. Avoid.

I appointed Rothera Bray to represent me for my case. After reading and obtaining a few quotes from other firms, Rothera Bray was not the cheapest or dearest, but I found they were best suited for my case and the cost were reasonable. Lindsey who I dealt with mostly over the phone/email was the most lovely, friendly and informative lady, and I know this is her job but she didn't make me feel like just another client for how big their firm is. Then I spoke and met with Olivia who was my legal representation for the hearing. Olivia was very professional, friendly, straight talking and obviously good at what she does. Although my outcome has hindered my life slightly, I got the best case scenario all thanks to Olivia and her team. I would highly recommend Rothera Bray to anyone and thank them again for helping me

An update… Rotheras have yet shown their true colours by lying to the Ombudsman. My Google review about Rotheras was reported by them relentlessly for months on end, to prevent it from being posted. Rotheras want to present a false image of being professional when their work ethic and quality of legal probate knowledge can only be described as dismal! I am sure my review will be followed up with a slew of high rated reviews as part of damage control! Engaged Rothera in April 2022 to probate an estate.The probate only came through in August 2023. Provided them all the information they had requested promptly.. Months later, after a lack of communication or progress on the application, made international call after call and emailed them to be constantly told that the lawyer would be in the office after four weeks, he was on vacation, he had a funeral to attend. When I insisted on knowing the cause for the delay, Rotheras showed no inclination to resolve the issue that was holding up the probate. Hence, I decided to work with the bank, spending hours of my time to resolve the issue and essentially take care of what Rothera were being paid for. Months later, after further delays, Rotheras sent me the application to sign, which to my dismay had been created incorrectly. On the application, Rothera had shown us as being domiciled in the UK. The very purpose of going through a lawyer was to prove that we were not domiciled in the UK and therefore IHT did not apply to our application.What was Rothera’s reaction to this huge error? Indifference. I was also asked by Rothera to prove from a local lawyer that we were domiciled outside the UK and that I had the right locally to inherit the estate. I had to spend hours researching on my own what documents would be suitable. No help from Rotheras, yet, as soon as I provided the documents they came back to me saying they would engage an expert for a fee and see what documents were needed. They had not been bothered to check this crucial information before asking me to pay the local lawyer and obtain the documents. Needless to say I had to pay the local lawyer again for another set of documents. The pension company informed me that they did not hear from Rotheras for months, hence the funds have been converted into a Bear account and I will now have to spend endless hours trying to resolve this issue on my own. Rotheras found selling certain stocks to be complicated, so that too was handed over to me to take care of. Rothera also asked me to take care of transferring the property titles to my name as they said they were too busy. Rotheras have charged unjustified fees in the five figures for doing the clerical task of writing to banks to obtain date of death values, of submitting the application (major error spotted by me thankfully) and writing to the companies asking them to deposit funds into the Rothera account. When I expressed my dissatisfaction at the fees they were charging for an error-ridden, incompetent and incomplete process, three of the partners aggressively got involved, trying to justify the high fees they were charging me. Yet, none of the partners had been available to look at the delays, the error on the application or the fact that I was being pressured to handle and resolve the work that they did not want to do because it involved an extra step from the basic clerical tasks they preferred to do for a fee that was in the thousands! Why go with them when you can have any other competent lawyer to assist you? Save yourself the stress, extra work, and expense and go with a more capable and professional firm of lawyers.

Do not use the 08456 465 465 on their website. It is a premium number at £1 per minute. There is no indication of this on their website or when using the number. Such practice is absolutely appalling from a business that needs to be based on trust and customer service.

I would like to thank Rothera Bray Solicitors, in particular Grant Benskin. I found myself in a difficult position with a business tenant and had to resort to litigation. Never in 45 years of business needing to do so before and found myself needing much guidance. Grant was able to take control and negotiated a settlement and exit contract. It was a complex case from the start and took several months. I can honestly say without Grant it would have been extremely difficult. I thoroughly recommend Rothera Bray and Grant.

I am really disappointed with these solicitors. Last year they helped with a will and transferring home into my kids name following a terminal diagnosis. I needed to make some changes to the home transfer. I dealt with Sebastian and then Ruby who were really helpful but the lady called Katrina in conveyance has not bothered to get in touch following telephone calls and emails

Terrible. Has taken 18 months. A woman hit my son and wrote his car off. She took full responsibility. The insurance company didn’t pay out value of car so had to be replaced by a year older one which we had to pay an extra £1000 for. He was injured and had to have physio all the time whilst taking his A levels. He had time off from his part time job. He thought he was getting £900 which is terrible for what he went through and nowhere near covers his costs and when they’ve actually sent out the final letter advising after they have taken their costs and physio off he is going to get £300!!!! Seriously!!! Shouldn’t her insurance company pay for the physio!!! His insurance company recommended these cowboys!! He is still suffering and in pain but didn’t want it going on any longer. Do t use this company!!!

Billed over quote for a unresolved issue and then ignore you entirely. Had to correct issues with their letters, I was always the one having to call. Very slow to act and just all round bad service

Rachel Hunter was excellent. She did our wills and lasting powers of attorney and we would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. She was absolutely brilliant and extremely knowledgeable.
