This is a real review. Ordered 4 books Part of a buy3 get one free. Received books and one of the books wasn't the ones I ordered. Which, I am understanding of, mistakes happen. But for several days now, I have not gotten a response back after I've inquired about this matter. No response, nothing. That...is unacceptable.

I accidently purchased the wrong book. I requested it to be cancelled on the same day I placed the order. Actually, within the same hour. I requested on the order page AND sent a separate email to support through the customer portal. The only response I received was the next day and it simply said, "Order has been processed". I immediately replied to that email requesting clarification and if a refund has been processed. I never got a reply back but I did receive a "Customer Satisfaction" email that day as if the ticket had been closed. The following day I replied to the email again requesting confirmation that the order has been cancelled and a refund issued. No reply. A couple days later, I put in another message through the customer portal about this issue. No reply. And then two days after that, I received an email saying the order has been shipped. A couple days after that, I receive another Customer Satisfaction email. And now, days later, here I am with still no reply, no refund, and supposedly a book I don't want on the way :(

I ordered a book through Abesbooks which shipped from SecondSale. The moment I ordered, I noticed I ordered a hardback instead of soft back. I immediately contacted SecondSale to cancel that order and refund the charge. They said they would. Never happened. I contacted them again a couple weeks later and they said they would re-refund the charge. Now, over a month later, nothing. I contacted Abe's and, through their site, again requested a refund. No response at all. So, if you order something and you change your mind, do not expect any refund for you. Therefore, I can say, no customer service. Be sure of your order because there is no chance of a refund, in my experience. Be ware!

This seller constantly lies to the customers. They say that the books they sell are good, but is not true. They sell books that are uselessly.

On October 14, 2024 I contacted SecondSale telling them I had received 2 novels instead of two copies of a particular book I had ordered. I wrote asking how this could be fixed, I wanted the 2 I had ordered and I needed to get the wrong books back to them. On the 15th they emailed saying, "If you would like to keep the item - please reply indicating you would like a 20% credit back to your original form of payment due to not meeting expectations. OR if you would like to return the item, for a full refund, please let us know." I emailed back, "I want a refund so I can buy the 2 books I originally ordered of Carmen Renee Berry’s. I don’t read novels. So, how do I get these 2 books back to you? And, do you not have her Loving Yourself as Your Neighbor?" I emailed again on the 22nd AND the 29th. No response back. So, I'm stuck with books I don't want and have been beat out of the money I paid for books I didn't get. BUYER BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AND... SPREAD THE WORD!

Wish I had a more positive review, but in the recent 'buy 3 get one free' sale three of the four books I ordered were out of stock - I received notification several days AFTER I received a shipping notice. Weird timing no doubt due to the holidays.

I placed an order during their buy 3 get 1 free sale. I received 3 of the 4 books. The 3 I received were sent in a timely manner. I emailed 3 different times over a 2 to 3 week period and have yet to receive a response. I would prefer to have the book but would have taken money back but I have neither. I will not be using nor recommending them unfortunately.

Very poor customer service. I messaged three times regarding a missing book that was not included with the three other books I ordered at the same time, no response and out the book and the money. Other orders included books described as very good or good that are not even in acceptable condition. I believe they pull any book off their shelf and not the copy condition that was ordered. I will NEVER purchase another book from this company.

This is the second time I have purchased a book from Second Sale in Montgomery, IL that was not as described. Both times the books were listed as "Very Good" and at best they are "Acceptable". My bad for the second time, but I won't be making the same mistake again.

Received a soft cover book that fell apart from the spine - Handmade Christmas: The Best of Martha Stewart Living - Paperback. And this book was labeled as Very Good. Very misleading and I now have a useless book in 3 sections detached from the spine. Very disappointed and will not be ordering any more books from this place.

I am still waiting to receive my refund! After a wait - my refund came at least!

I am extremely pleased with my choice of Penguin Publishers to assist with publication of my book. The editing of early chapters is in process, but largely completed, as is the cover art. I am still writing, though the chapters remaining are of the "what are they doing now" variety, and so, easily done. The process has been guided, at Penguin, by Lucas Parez. Lucas is very personable and responsive, and has demonstrated an impressive ability to co-ordinate the efforts of his graphics' design and editorial people, and deliver a given item to me quickly and "seamlessly." I'm looking forward to working with, and being guided by, Lucas, as we enter the promotional phase. I am a native New Englander, who grew up eating his meat first, then his potatoes, and lastly his vegetables - seriously, that's how I was taught! With the help of Lucas, I have come to realize that production and promotion are inextricably linked, as were the meat and potatoes on my plate in Vermont. In addition to being a first-time author, I am also a slow learner, though I know a lot more about publishing than I did before I met Lucas.

Penquin Publishers is OUTSTANDING! I deeply regard not signing up with them earlier. Having checked out at least 6 different publishing firms and prices, Penquin clearly knocked it out of the park! Their pricing was very competitive, and boy did they differ on the product! Chris Reed is extremely knowledgeable, courteous and prompt. My only criticism would be their broken English is sometimes hard to understand, but I used that to my advantage by listening intently with patience, for this man is a man of his word. I have several more books to have published and prayed to God for a course to follow and that course led me to Penquin Publishing.

Danny Brown is the quintessential Product Manager. He is so responsive. If I have a question, he always gets back to me quickly, most times it's well within an hour of my inquiry that I get an answer from him. Danny is a true professional. He is polite and attentive to my needs. He made me feel at ease throughout every step of the publishing process. What's more, Danny expertly translates my comments to his entire team, and they in turn, respond to meet my requests in a timely manner. Danny Brown made my first-ever self-publishing project a joy!

My project manager lucas perez and his team, did a wonderful job of making my manuscript into my first novel. I would recommend that penguin books publishing process was as enjoyable.

Wrong company to review. Penguin Self Publishing so far has delivered what they promised.

I was scammed. They gave me a choice of having my book edited by someone with more than 10 years experience or less than 10 years. I was told that someone with more experience would be easier to work with. There is no transparency. They would not reveal who edited the book. I could not talk to anyone other than a project manager who said he would pass the information on. This project manager continually gave me misinformation about when something was going to me done, or that he would call me and never did. I noticed some inconsistencies in the editing as if multiple people were working on it. I am a novice writer and relied on the accuracy of their editing. I sent their publish-ready files to a number of people for review and found out there were an extensive number of errors. I tried to correct as many as I could but then 2 different experienced editors found many more errors. Were talking 15 or more errors in the first chapter alone. I now have to pay someone else to have it done correctly. They sent me a PUB file and when I looked at it, the title of the book was on one page, my name was on the next page. My name was so large that it couldn't fit on one line so they hyphenated it. They couldn't have looked at the product before sending it out as a "final" publish-ready file. They were to include a cover design as part of the contract. Again, I was not allowed to communicate directly with the designer. The designs that were submitted to me were horrible. They ignored the image for the cover I sent them. After 6 weeks of frustration I told them to just forget it. Maybe others have had a more positive experience but I would be very very careful of paying them up front for a service that you may be extremely disappointed in and have to pay someone else to do it right.

Penguin Publishers did exactly what I asked for and kept all their promises. I highly recommend them for anyone who needs help in evaluating their manuscript and polishing it for publication.

The services provided by maak was second to none , I can say I am a satisfied customer , and will be using there services in the future.

I can confirm they are terrible. They hire me as handyman. ( hour rate ) But they send me to situation / adres a breakdown engineer. I have the skills and degree. In my experience that are 2 different skills / hour rate . So i quite. I worked for 1 day. Saw how he ( charles ) treated me, like i was nothing. He is not interested what the problems are / situations is. I think he only want the money from rent, and don,t solve the problems. I visited 6 addresses in 1 day as a handyman. Saw what kind of problems/ situations there are. They are amateurs. Or the let people instal with no degree. And then they ask why are there problems. If you dont have technical knowledge / degree. How can you offer a solution ? His secretary has no knowlege at all. For this kind of situation and makes assumptions and they lie. Till today he doesnt pay my invoice. So i have to go collection agency. He doenst responded on my email. He shows what kind of person he is.

This company appears to be fraudulent as on both the website and their email addresses they came up as fraud and to not trust them. This was via Google Chrome Microsoft edge and Firefox

I have been spending money on AI products and even bought a monthly subscription that I no longer need because I found a straight forward easy to use set of AI tools and prompts right here with Authority AI. You would think a mo they subscription with those other guys would be nicely laid out so it would be easy to set up and use but that's not even close. This one time fee product from Authority AI was app I needed. I wished I had found this one first.

I'm not a young man anymore and I don't want to go through the many fundamentals of learning piano. I do have an understanding of music from 45 years of guitar. So I just want to say that HD Piano is the perfect fit. I've enjoyed my first year and I feel that it has been more than worth it. My time is limited but I still managed to learn quite a few songs. I’m not happy with the selection that’s available. There are very few song tutorials on R&B / soul. You seem to cater to mostly pop and rock. Would love to see more piano tutorials on Spinners, Frankie Beverly with Maze, Motown, Luther Vandros, etc….

Really amazing functionality! So many different ways to learn! As someone who plays piano by ear but never learned how to read music very well, this has been amazing for training my ear to hear the more complex, jazzy chords better. Now if only we could search / filter results by key! That addition would make this truly the ultimate resource for students and teachers alike!

I'm a regular customer and an experienced pianist. In general I'm very happy with the tutorials. Some points that I feel would enhance my experience: 1. I used to enjoy the ability to comment on tutorials. 2. I enjoy tutorials that take the learning beyond simply saying play A, B, C notes. This doesn't help from a memorising perspective and full songs become tedious to get through note by note. 3. Similar point with respect to rhythm and counting. Teaching it as "G comes in on beat 2-ee" is not particularly helpful in actually learning the overall rhythm and feel. 4. I'm not sure if some kind of transposition can be integrated, but that would really be just perfect! Given that many of us do like to sing along, bringing it into a comfortable key would be a gamechanger. Cheers!

I tried Kbook publishing for my book, “Looking for the King.” When I sent them my manuscript it came back nicely formatted. That made it easy to find errors and correct them. Then we got to the cover art. Almost three months later I was able to get something sort of OK out of them. Their artist seems to be a graduate of the Mad Magazine/Manga School of Comic Books. Then they hit me up with other things they need from. They were legitimate. Things like a synopsis. OK, fine. But they could have told me this while we were waiting on the artwork instead of dragging it out. They were unresponsive to emails and calls. Then they wanted me to sign up and pay for their “Promotional Package.” There were several to choose from. Just send money. When I told then I first wanted to see the finished product, they sent me the FINAL edit. It was completely botched up. Sentences and conversations were run together. There were huge gaps of blank pages. “Oh, you’re not using the same program we are, but it will be fine in the final product.” Keep in mind that the first formatted copy came through with no issue. At my insistence we went through it line by line to correct it. It came back “corrected” but with the same issues in other locations. We went through it again with their “professional” editor. Same result. It was clear that unless I signed up for their marketing package, they would not correct their errors. I spent almost TEN months going back and forth with these charlatans. A friend who self published on Amazon offered to help. It was up in two weeks, nicely edited and formatted. Stephen Ball presented the evening on Zoom to members of a photographic society. He was informative, pleasant, knowledgeable, and the variety of images from the south to the north of Scotland were stunning. A most enjoyable evening.

I signed up for Qwoted on December 30 and found it very helpful, at first. However, when I went to read a response from a source for an article I was working on today (January 16), I found that I couldn't and that my account had been automatically disabled. When I reached out to customer service, I was told the publication I write for was "not a fit" for their network. I write for a company blog that covers lawn care and home improvement. Nothing about what type of publications could use Qwoted were mentioned anywhere upon signing up -- and the platform allowed me to sign up and work with several sources over the past couple of weeks. There was also ZERO warning that my account would be disabled. This is poor customer service and poor management of a site. If they don't want certain publications to sign up, they need to say that upfront and be very specific. Thankfully, the customer service rep did send me the response from the source I had been trying to retrieve after asking a couple of times.

After sticking our toe in the water with an entry-level 360 product photography solution, we decided to make the investment in the Ortery 3D PhotoBench 180. The PhotoBench arrived in perfect condition (very well packaged) and the fit/finish of this unit is impressive. We have been very impressed with pre and post sales and support. Communications has been excellent and the training videos are very helpful. The Ortery Capture software is very rich in features and gives you complete control over the raw images and 360 spin creation. We did hit a bit of a speed bump integrating the spin into our Shopify store; however, the Ortery support team was responsive and resolved the issue quickly. Any company looking for a 360 product photography solution should definitely consider one of Ortery's solutions.

The team were great in helping select the right machine and trouble shoot issues I had with photos. The knowledge of their machine and time they spent in understanding my needs.

We have been dealing with Ortery Technologies now for well over a decade. During that time we have purchased 4 machines and have found their customer and technical support to be excellent. They are constantly pushing for improvement in functionality from their machines and ease of use for operators. If you are looking to drastically improve how your company images product, in our experience, you cannot go wrong with their machines and support.

We own a home based jewelry company. We bought Ortery Single Shot system (one without a turntable unfortunately). The time and patience Ken spent with us in Irvine Cal - walking us through the options - giving their best recommendations was time well spent. Images of the jewelry - from rings, to necklaces, to earrings, come out excellent. Complete white background - and if needed - perfect transparent backgrounds. The software took very little time to learn with no additional training. In about an hour - I was taking photos like a pro! The cost of (rounded) $4,000 was well spent. Photo productivity has increased. If the system we bought came with a turntable or there was a model of similar size with a turntable - we would have gladly purchased that option for an extra $1k or $2,000 more in a heart beat. The unit we bought was based more on size of our home studio than on cost. I highly recommend Ortery! I also recommend purchasing their wireless Strobe lights! Ken - at Ortery in Irvine did a GREAT Job!

I bought both hardware and software from them. By registering and paying a fee one month ago, I was promise anual update and techical assistance. When I found function in the web page and listed in the maual attached to the latest version can not function and requst help, they ignore my requeast and told me they no longer support this function. Why any one want to buy expensive hardware /sofeware from vendor who refuse to honor their contractual obligation and misrepresent product capabilty ?
