Dishonest tactics
Salesman promised the world with heating - pay £500 deposit and back out at any time and get the deposit back. Surveyor came out to price up job along with another person carrying out an EPC report. Quote came back more expensive than I would have liked so decided not to go ahead with it. Deposit not refunded as they charge £250 each for survey and EPC report. Make sure to read the small print as they are not upfront about this on the phone or in person.
As always polite and efficient.
As always the engineer who came to service the air source heat pump was polite and efficient. He gave me pointers on how best to set timers and temperature.

Solar & Storage Installation on a Victorian villa rooftop
We have been delighted with the installation of our greener energy components, from the initial visit by the advisor through to completion of the entire project, which was a £41k effort, funded with £27k of Home Energy Scotland/Energy Saving Trust in grants and interest-free loan, and £14k from ourselves. The solar panels are now all up and connected, and we are collecting energy even in these winter months, and more importantly storing cheap energy acquired during off-peak charging time and using it during peak tariff periods (Octopus Cosy). We found Greener Energy's office staff to be a fount of knowledge (in particular their help in identifying a Green Loan fund at Capital Credit Union) and quick to communicate. We were so impressed with the team who installed the solar panels on the roof, and then the electrician team who connected everything together. This effort was also enhanced by the foresight of the electrician who oversaw the installation of the heat pumps, who ran appropriate cables for the solar energy controller, across the house under the upstairs floorboards, in anticipation of their use by the solar electricians. We're just getting to grips with how to modify our behaviour so as to get the most energy savings from the systems that have been installed, and we expect to save significantly vs oil boiler when we get a new wood stove installed in our open fireplace, which will supplement our heating challenges during peak electricity tariffs. Furthermore, we expect much of our domestic energy throughout the more sunshiny months (here in Scotland from April through September, for example) to be acquired from solar, which will make up for the expense of the air source heat pumps during the winter months. So we hope to save significant amounts over the annual outlay we had been experiencing with our heating oil consumption. I can say that we are very happy with the service provided by Greener Energy Group and that we are happy to recommend their service to others.

Air source heat pump and solar/battery installation
Excellent service from start to finish. Good advice and helped through the Home Energy Scotland funding rigmarole! Couldn’t have done it without Greener energy!
Excellent company
We had a great experience with Greener Energy. Every one from the office to the electricians was friendly and helpful. They installed 8 solar panels plus battery, new Wibo heaters which are excellent and produce a very cosy warmth and a new boiler. Installation was quick. Would recommend this company.
We got an Air Source Heat Pump and it went great.
We got an Air Source Heat Pump through Greener Energy Group and fom start to finish the process was easy and relaxed with no pressure to use them. Comms with the company was great, with rapid feed back and answers to any queries. Organising the installation was simple and the actual installation went smoothly, with sufficient workers to carry out the job (rather than using a bare minimum, they had 5 or 6 men and it was complete in 2 days, including renewal of the hot water tank and all radiators in the house). After installation they sent all paperwork quickly for me to progress the grant claim, and at all stages from start to finish the process was explained to me, removing any stress. There has been no need for after sales support as the system as installed is working really well.
