I ordered 4 radiators that were promptly delivered the day I went on holiday. When I returned, the plumber was delayed so it was past the 30 day return policy. I had, unfortunately, measured the same incorrectly and one of the radiators was too big. I contacted the company and requested to exchange the radiator for a smaller one and also order the thermostatic rad valves. I offered to return and collect myself as I understand it was my measuring skills (or lack of) that caused the problem. Column RADS referred me to mrcentralheating and mrcentralheating referred me to column RADS. Neither would help. I'm now stuck with a radiator I can't use. The person I spoke to suggested I sell it on Facebook or Ebay. Not helpful! I've no idea of the quality of the radiators. I hope it's better than the customer service. I'm yet to receive a reply from the last email.
Very happy with paint to order orange radiator
I was abit dubious about ordering as the reviews didn’t seem great. I wanted a bright orange radiator, couldn’t find what I wanted in the right dimensions anywhere else. I am so happy with my radiator, comms and delivery were fine. Arrived sooner that expected. Many thanks!

The diagram for installation if the radiator shows the centre line position of the top bracket from the top of the radiator to be a minimum of 110mm. This is incorrect. The top bracket as shown in the side on view is set under the curve of the two columns so it can provide support, in other words the radiator sits on top of it. I positioned my top brackets about 160mm from the top because I wanted the radiator higher up the wall but realise now that the two top brackets might not provide adequate support, misled by the 110mm dimension. It's all too vague. Now I have to redrill and reposition the top brackets. Phoned Columnrads this morning over 40mins didn't answer. Make the diagrams clearer in future. These radiators not cheap as I make an effort and sort out your Customer Service
High quality and good service
Really impressed. Ordered two steel column radiators and they included valves etc for free on the order confirmation page, which was a nice touch. Plumber then cautioned me that cheap column radiators can sometimes be poor quality. He was incredibly surprised when they arrived and said they were really high quality with good welding and no sounds of loose flakes inside. Was really impressed with the price. Three months on they work really well and we're decorating another room so I've just ordered a further one and the same style. Couldn't find an item on their website so called up. Very friendly and helpful lady on the phone advised me which to get and they checked with their warehouse to get one put aside so it could be delivered asap. Really impressed with this company, so far it's been a 'text book' customer experience.
Customer service review
I am reviewing their customer service as the radiators i bought have not yet been plumbed in. I ordered one radiator too many from the in March and only just realised but they honestly could not have been more helpful. Despite having had the radiator here for 6 months, they still agreed for me to return it. They arranged a courier to collect it, without charge and only deducted a repackaging fee of £25. Brilliant company to deal with!
Take your money and then refuse the order as the Outer Hebrides, according to them is abroad.
I ordered 2 Silver Nickel 15 mm X 300 mm Angled Pipe Tails and Decoration Wall Plates (Pair) yesterday from their website. This morning I receive an email to say they are crediting the money back as they do not deliver to where I live. I phoned them, to say that they cannot deliver abroad. I explained that we have a Royal Mail service where I live and the cost to post would be less than they had charged delivery £3.29, a small and light product. I was told that their Royal Mail package could only deliver to the mainland. I cannot see how this can be possible, or if their package does not deliver off the mainland why they cannot use the normal Royal Mail service which thankfully delivers to all of the UK. (yes, we are in the UK after all). I could have had them posted in the UK and got them posted on, if it had of been explained when I tried to order. If they do not accept orders why take peoples money. Not good at all.

I was nervous about ordering a custom painted radiator based on reviews but service was excellent. I got regular updates after ordering, radiator arrived on time and I was notified it was on its way after they rang me to arrange a delivery date.

never buy anything from. them again. 3 weeks have been waiting for 2 radiators. On the delivery date I found out radiators are not in stock and they don't know when gonna be available. waste my time and money. Office staff in useless.

I question the quality of their radiators and the paint process. My column radiator started rusting and leaking after 4 years and is now headed to the scrap heap. Column rads were defensive from the start and followed up with a claim that the rad was poorly installed but they haven't inspected the installation properly (I offered). I also had it looked at by an expert who said it was not necessarily an installation issue as the issue isn't at the join and appears to have originated further into the radiator. I have similar rads from different suppliers installed by the same person at the same time with no problems. But based on my experience with their rad and the immediately defensive and dismissive nature of their response, I wouldn't use them again.

Rustyradiators.co.uk Need I say more ? I would write a sarcastic review but my 40 years (2nd generation) in the heating industry was impressed by their delivery times but the product is not fit for purpose . They know it and still carry on .Shame on them .First experience of this in my working life.
