5 Star Service and he bought his Dad!

If your expecting a slow, drawn out, painfull process- then don't! Survey completed same week, excellent comms from the office- Petra answers your questions and sounds like she enjoys doing so, which is a pleasant change from the normal 'computer says no' brigade- Petra says yes!! No sooner had approval been given and we have the lads from National Grid shrouding cables, just when you thought you could relax, the scaffold lads turn up, work like hell and have a laugh along the way. No problem at all here, just decent grafters who want to do a good job, another plus. The best bit is yet to come! Will the Installer, running a little late, so gives me a call, totally apologetic and common sense prevails we both agree there is absolutely no point starting the job at 2pm on a Friday afternoon, when they have to get back to Birkenhead - these guys have families too, which is 4 hrs away at best. I'm happy, Will is happy, so see you Monday morning. Will got a new van Monday morning so had to sort that out and arrives at lunchtime, I'm happy with that small delay too although Will prefers the Transit :) ... He's bought his Dad, they graft like crazy and finish half the job by 7pm, just didn't stop all day but had the occasional brew. Its got dark, their still working and you cant fault it. Obvious they know what they're doing, he's like a cat up there. Brilliant. How does his Dad look younger than the son? Next morning got there early and smashed it out the park, they were fantastic, polite, totally professional and didn't leave any mess whatsoever, no clean up required! Just good, honest tradesmen, the kind you expect but probably never get. These lads were a credit. Just waiting for the Sparky now to connect, were patient so I'm not complaining about how long this takes- as so far the whole job has been exemplary. That Sparky has big boots to fill and the bar has been set high by Will and his Dad, Petra, Ian and the entire team. Thumbs up all- Review part 2 on completion !

LMF services had excellent communication throughout the process. Very flexible on timings for work to be carried out. Friendly and efficient engineers on site. Excellent product.

My nan once said...

My nan once said "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". Not a problem, I could write a book about these guys. I treat all unknown (to me) companies with a good deal of scepticism, but at every turn these guys squashed my fears. From initial contact to install (solar) these people were awesome. Any delays were a combination of UKPN and me. Information supplied to me was unarguably accurate despite my best research to catch them out. Install was due today but they got to me yesterday and 20 panels and all the associated gubbins was done and dusted in half a day. Whether LMF or sub contractors, the people I met were truly awesome. This morning I boiled my kettle for free (up yours, EDF) and raised a steaming mug of tea in the direction of Birkenhead and uttered "thanks lads". For a brighter smile every day, use LMF. If not, you're an idiot and incurable plumbag. Update 20/10/23: I've just been visited by the EPC guy and my little house with some improvements and the LMF solar array has lept from an E rating to an A/95 due to the no-compromise size if the array. I now have energy rating calculated as -52kWh and -0.5 tonnes CO2. The jump is so big we're being audited when the certification arrives. Impressive stuff, LMF, well done all of you. X

Ok like most of the reviews I have no problem with the installation. I am very pleased with my solar panels. But has any of the reviewers tried to get in touch after the installation. I have, ring press the number for customer services and it just rings and rings and eventually cuts you off. After trying this several times I tried the number for accounts. This was slightly better, but only because it did not keep you hanging on. It just cut you off immediately. An update I emailed the accounts and a couple days later got a response email with all I wanted done. I was well impressed. So have changed my review from 1 to 4 stars.
