An HOUR with Eddy trying to get verified for a ticket I purchased. Promised to stay with me, had his "team" on it. Eventually, when I had enough I asked him to cancel the reservation. After another 25 mins I insisted he cancel the reservation. This process of 'verufication' means that youist wait at least an hour to get a call from Ovago to confirm you are who you are. It's just like a bank where you have to prove yourself to get access to your own money. This is a systemic problem that should be resisted. Ovago is more focused on sales and commission ... whatever rationalozation they have for this verification process is a symptom of money saving, or upselling or IT shifing an inability to deal with fraud over to inconvenience their customer . If you want to let Ovago take an hour of your life away to for taking time from other save $25 on airfare, then this is your service. It's not Eddy's fault but he works for a system that is essentialy no longer really human-based or truly time savings. I value and respect my time and will NEVER AGAIN tolerate some 75 minutes of stressful telephone nonsense to have to verify myself to a company that I'm giving money to. Whatever suit decided that this verification process is no big deal to customers should be put on customer service detail for a few months. Meanwhile, travel safe and in peace!

In June of 2020, we booked 2 tickets for United Airlines thru OVAGO (for a trip Newark to Australia for $980 EA, $1860 total). Due to Covid19, Australia closed its borders to all except Australian citizens and permanent residents, so we were unable to compete our trip. As the result we were issued a credit good till the end of 2022. Unfortunately, as per United, we can only access this credit thru OVAGO as they were the agent that sold us the tickets. On Sept 2, we called OVAGO to rebook our flights using this credit. We were told they had to get the credit approved by United which would take 3-4 days and they would call us back. We called back after a week and were told they were still waiting for approval and they would call us as soon as approved. A week later, still no tickets, 2 weeks later still no tickets and no call back. In fact OVAGO never returned one call when they promised. Over this time period, we were given conflicting information, got transfered to lines unanswered, were cut off etc....you get the idea. We called them repeated for the next 3 weeks....all during this time the ticket prices for our flights were going up and since we didn't have a confirmed booking we didn't have fares locked in. At the beginning of this process OVAGO quoted a price for tickets was $1061 plus our credit which after 3 weeks of delays was still not approved. Because ticket prices were rising almost daily, we gave up on OVAGO and purchased new tickets directly for approximately $2400 ea. In summary, OVAGO's poor service cost us over $1000, plus they still have our credit which seems impossible to use. I would give them zero stars if I could. Avoid disappointment and avoid this company!!
