EPC Certificate

Purchased our house 7 years ago with an EPC rating of E, Vibrant carried out an EPC survey 2 weeks ago with a rating of F. Within the past 5 years we have had new loft insulation (300mm think), new PVC windows/doors throughout, new thermal conservatory solid roof system, new energy efficient boiler. Non-intrusive surveys deemed brick/block construction as granite when clearly block, non-intrusive surveys are based on judgement which when easily verified and pictures offered to the assessor will effect any rating. We have not received a copy of the EPC certificate yet, not the best experience having spent over 40k on the above improvements and a resultant EPC rating that is worse than when we purchased the house with a mixture of rotten wooden window frames/single/blown double glazing units, less than 40mm of loft insulation and a leaking 32mm thick polycarbonate conservatory roof !

EPC assessment carried out efficiently

It was easy to arrange an appointment online. The EPC assessor was friendly and helpful and the certificate produced promptly.

Review of EPC

purchased a property with an EPC carried out by Vibrant Energy Matters. The epc contains several errors including incorrectly stating the cavity wall was insulated when in fact it wasn't and incorrectly identifying the method for supplying how water. Have contacted the company to get this rectified but they have refused and blamed the software they use for the errors.
