Arrived in less than an hour. Telephone staff great and Tom who came to cure my blocked drains was excellent. Made extra sure everything was right again before departing. Kept me informed the whole way through. Should I need drain services again I won't hesitate to call Metro Rod again.

Tom Emberton came out to our bungalow to sort a blockage we had. Wed previously had someone come to unblock but after they'd gone it was still blocked. Tom had a lot of knowledge and experience and thought that we may have a blind junction. Tom didn't stop until he managed to find where the issue was was and make sure it was all unblocked from both ends. Tom left no area unchecked and once he'd cleared the blockage did several tests to make sure it was working properly before he would leave. He was our angel and meant we could move back into our home. Thank you so much Tom, there aren't words to express our appreciation. If you get Tom you will get the job done. Two stars for the two friendly egineers that appeared within hours and helped diagnose the problem. Everything fell apart though when the Saniflow system they offered as a solution seemed exorbitantly expensive and also kind of insufficient... When I asked for an explanation and questioned why it wouldn't be possible to lay a new pipe, I was totally ghosted by 2 seperate people at the company. All for the better though really, because I didn't have to waste more time dealing with them, and soon found a company that wanted to talk, and managed to lay new pipes for less!

Contacted Metro Rod Saturday evening. Within 10 mins an engineer rang to advise of estimated time he’d get to me. He rang again to update he’d be with me in 20 mins. He was polite and courteous. Respected the property and tried his absolute best, under dark and wet conditions, to locate the problem. Calvin Jones from Manchester Metro Rod, well done on exemplary customer service. An honest and trustworthy workman.

Just a big shout out to Dan & Joe from the Guildford team. They came out of hours to sort an issue that had been causing us a great deal of stress for a few days. Their professionalism, efficiency & humour when they arrived helped to ease the stress. We felt confident they knew exactly what needed to be done. All through the process they kept us informed. 10 out of 10 well done & thank you.

Arranged a day and time for an appointment only to be told (after calling them near the end of the arranged appointment) that the work was not entered correctly and they did not have my details. Provided details and arranged to have an appointment for the following morning. No one came. Called again, missing my details again. Re-provided details and rebooked. We agreed to a call back before the appointment - none was given and the engineer that arrived claimed he was given no contact details (that’s 3 times they were given details!!) Finally, after a basic wet vac suction on the waste pipe, I was quoted almost **£450** for them to use a flexible rod to unclog, which was on the van. Insane pricing. Finally got a different local drainage team to come out from scratch, with pressure wash and a camera to unclog within an hour and charged £140 - over 3x less than Metro Rod quoted! Do not use. They cannot organise and charge a fortune for basic work.

The Metro Rod man (didn't get his name) came well within the time specified by our insurance company. Our inspection chamber was completely solid (how we hadn't noticed before now I cannot fathom) but he set about it with vigour and determination. Around an hour later he had cleared the blockage and cleaned all around, leaving it like new. Excellent friendly and knowledgeable service. Thank you Metro Rod Man!

One of the worst experiences of customer service I have ever had to deal with, after having this company out to repair a blocked toilet pipe ( one which Yorkshire water had done the previous ground work, so we knew exactly what the problem was and how to locate it ) the gentleman that came out was unprofessional, hated his job and my biggest mistake was not asking him to leave my premises, I never rang in with a complaint because I was just so grateful the job had been completed but unfortunately six weeks later Yorkshire water has been out twice and done a full CCTV report and I have been told the same problem which they came out for which unfortunately is on my part it’s still there they have given me a full report to send back to Metro so they can see this so hopefully they could return to do the job properly, but the customer service I received was appalling so I decided to cut my losses never normally write a bad review but just thought I needed to put this one out

The 2 gentlemen that made a visit to me today i cant praise them enough Thank you Craig and Charlie thank for ur swiftness of the job and making me feel at ease from the moment u rang the doorbell. was a pleasure to see u clean up after ur job was done and put everything back in my cupboards for me Thank you Gentlemen a great job well done wish i could give more than 5 stars
