Wonham house is the most perfect country escape for a memorable weekend with friends and family. The house is simply stunning, recently renovated to a high standard with some modern features but still traditional and tasteful with a room to suit everyone. The ballroom is perfect for hosting the supper party of dreams with brilliant local chefs who can come in and cater. The kitchen has everything you need for a weeks stay and more. The best part of all was that in this historic house, the environment is relaxed and comfortable. The setting is so beautiful and I will be back as soon as I can be. Such happy memories!

Great Company & Brilliant Houses
I have stayed at two of Sleeps12 properties so far and I have found they are a great Company to deal with. You can actually speak to someone who knows about the properties and if you can’t find the information you need they are very helpful. The properties have been high quality with great facilities and I look forward to staying at more Sleeps12 properties in future.

Con Men & Cowboys. AVOID At All Costs!
I could not be more disgusted, dissatisfied, disappointed, and appalled by any one company or group of individuals as I am with the sleeps12.com team and the owners of Wonham House. Together, they destroyed what should have been a magical Golden Anniversary Christmas for my parents.Appalling service, rude, unhelpful, unprofessional, uncaring. Property was an unfinished building site and misrepresented in the listing.

The landlord had ruined my holiday
I just came back from a midweek 4 days holiday spent in Ham Bottom in Taunton. The house was fantastic except for the following: 1. The horrible smell of the chemicals used to clean the draineg which we had to up for few hours as soon as we arrived. 2. Many dead wasps at far end of the swimming pool. 3. Insufficient light in the dark barbecue room. 4. The sauna needs almost 1 hour to heat up. 5. Washing machine's door is cracked and the dryer does not work. How do you expect to dry the towels. 6. Chopping board in the kitchen is rotten and has fungus and mold. 7. Unpleasant landlord who completely ruined our holiday. As we are leaving the house he told my daughter who was the last to leave that we are like a pig leaving the house filthy and accused us of stealing the table lamp from the dining room. Also told her not to come back again anymore as we are not welcome. I came back to confront him and told him he should be talking to me not to my daughter. His words to my daughter disheartened her and spoilt our holiday as we smell racism in his words. As for his table lamp we borrowed it from the dining room to use it for the dark barbecue room to see what we were barbecuing. So we left it inside the barbecue room and forgot to put it back. As for the house left filthy is untrue it's only the kitchen plates which we used for our last breakfast but we did not wash them because he told us on the first night "Do not clean anything as we will do so. You just enjoy your holiday". At the end he apologised for his rude commentary to my daughter but it wasn't strong enough as he kept saying he never had the house as dirty as this time and this is again untrue. My wife found a rotten chopping board full of mold with Ham Bottom embroided on it which was hanging over the kitchen sink. You do not say to your tenant such words because they simply did not clean the plates or the kitchen table. We paid almost 2k for the house which is a hefty amount of money and then he accuses us of steeling a £15 table lamp!! We came to this lanlord's 2 houses more than once yet he syas these things. Very disappointing. 8. The landlord is inconsiderate to the privacy of the tenants. On the second night we asked him to provide us with charcoal for the barbecue room. He came from the kitchen door instead of the front door. My wife and my two daughters were there. Also to come for the kitchen door you have to pass by the swimming pool which lies at the back of the house. I said to him you shouldn't do that as my wife and daughters might be swimming. Seems to me that he has no consideration to our religious and cultural values. If it was someone else he would have given him not more than 1 star for what the landlord said at the end to satisfy his revenge. But I am a religious person who fears Allah the All mighty so I have to say apart from that the house was very good.

Wonham House…. What a wonderful place to stay! We stayed for 3 nights for a family birthday and it was perfect. Space to relax on your own or with others. Great cinema and darts/bar room. Even though it was October we still managed a dip in the outside pool! So much character and charm! Well worth it!

Used sleeps12 for many different locations, each time there has been no issues with booking or proprties stayed in. Easy to contact via email or phone, even met owners in person on one visit to a property who are dedicated to offering a good service. Will continue to use as and when prices allow.

Good experience and protection during hire
The company protected us from property owners who were rude and clearly trying to get as much money as possible out of our group for small issues. They handled the process professionally and in a timely manner. I would def use them again

Charges without proof & lies
Avoid using them. I have rented with them a few times before but it feels like now they are trying to find anyway to keep your deposit. They claim damages without proof or invoice. Invoice when sent don’t have the parts claimed to be replaced. They even went all the way to claim we bought a dog, to a working meeting, and tried to charge us £75 for this. When challenged they apologised saying it was a mistake. How can you write “the owner advised us that a dog was in the property” and when challenged they just dropped and said it was a mistake. It used to be a good company, not any longer and won’t use again.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company, they used our deposit to pay for faulty goods, Neff informed us that the damage happened from previous guests and the crack on the hob was unfortunate that it happened to us while we were cooking. It was really frightening when it cracked and thank god nobody was hurt. They should be apologising to us not using our money to pay for the repair, it is now in the hands of lawyers. From start to finish the service was dreadful. We stayed at Kingshay Barton, beautiful house but ruined by a horrible woman who manages the property. She made us feel very uncomfortable as soon as she greeted us with "You are early and you cant come in" after driving 5 hours from London. The weekend cost us nearly £10,000 and they had the nerve to use our money to pay for their repairs and blamed it our family. We will never use this company again, I wish I had read these reviews before we booked we would have stayed well clear.

Stayed at Pitmaston House Worcester 15…
Stayed at Pitmaston House Worcester 15 August 4 nights. The power continually went off we had no use of ovens fridge freezer sockets in main kitchen for a number of meal times.16 people making breakfast in hall way were sockets did work. Advised to use second tiny kitchen that had no crockery etc and no where to sit. They did try to fix the issue but failed. Still no electric in kitchen on our last morning. Considering I paid over £5000 for a luxury experience I asked for an appropriate level of compensation for all the inconvenience and £200 worth of food we had to replace. The agent offered £200 increased this to £300 then said if you want any more ask the owner. The owner has still not replied. Also there is no covered over pergola with lights outside as shown in pictures, it has been removed. This outside area was a big selling point for me and I was not told it no longer looked as pictures. Poor response to my request for an appropriate level of compensation.
