Do not buy expensive art on this site. I purchased a $6k painting that arrived badly damaged. So far 1stDibs has done absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. They simply can’t be trusted if things go wrong. I now have to call my cc company to retrieve my money. Now they want me to re-crate a damaged piece of art (on my time), and coordinate returning a piece of damaged (good to nobody) art that should be tossed in the garbage. (and below 1stDibs responds with complete nonsense. For starters, my name is the only name on my 1stDibs account, which has been the same forever, and secondly, what they “say” in their policy vs what they actually “do” are two very different things.

I became interested in a lovely little Edwardian chest of drawers.I communicated with the seller but I then thought it might be too small.The seller was very understanding and I appreciated that she had not tried to put pressure on me.As it happens I then decided it was perfect and it is now in my home.It is such a lovely piece of furniture and we are thrilled with it.Thank you Marcella.13
