These people are angels
These people are angels. They are generous and caring about the underprivileged and disabled. They helped me tremendously in getting glasses for my brother's roommate (my brother had a stroke and is in an assisted living facility) and we couldn't be more grateful!! Their assistance in helping us determine which glasses may work was priceless. Highly recommend the people and products in this organization. They really care. ♥️♥️♥️
When I first ordered glasses from…
When I first ordered glasses from enchroma for my partner they were sent to me in less than the estimated time and my partner was blown away. These glasses were life changing. Unfortunately 2 years down the track the arms had become cracked. I emailed enchroma to enquire about repairs and after sending photos of the damage I've had new glasses sent to me and now I get to surprise my partner all over again. Cannot recommend enchroma enough Super satisfied customer
So disappointed
So disappointed with these glasses. I had high hopes after seeing the videos and thought they would really help me see new colors. At best, red and orange objects became slightly boosted. The marketing seems to be quite misleading. Trying to get a refund was an absolute nightmare of a task. Took multiple emails and phone calls. I almost gave up at one point.
Quality of progressive Rx is the best, non-colorblind can use.
Quality of the Rx is the best. I am not colorblind, but being a scientist, was curious & ordered non-Rx pair to test as sunglasses. I was pleased with the results so ordered sunglasses in my (progressive) Rx. Rx was large improvement over my clear pair, having wider vision, so later I ordered indoor Rx pair. Lenses increased contrast (in addition to color enhancement). in my opinion more non-colorblind should use these.
Excellent service + product
I've been wholly enjoying my Protan Oakvales since buying them.. I think it's important to understand that these products are all off-the-shelf rather than personally customised; thus, whilst designed to work best for as many people as possible, they may not be perfect for everyone. I must admit I didn't really see anything 'jump out' at me the moment I tried my glasses on the first time or have that elation of sudden revelation, but after wearing them for extended periods, it's actually when I take them off that I realise just what I'm missing out on. There are colours in so many things I never thought were present, but are... and nature is certainly way more exciting to look at. They certainly add joy to being outdoors and they improve my quality of life by unveiling parts of the visual light spectrum that I would otherwise have trouble with, even if they're not 'tuned' to my unique colourblindness. Really looking forward to using them as much as I can this upcoming summer. Also, big shoutout to Helena on the customer support team for helping me out when I damaged my first pair. greatly appreciated :-)

Amazing
I can see more colors than I ever thought possible! My wife loves that I don't have to ask her what color things are all the time.

I mostly regret buying these glasses.
I mostly regret buying these glasses. I was led to believe that they would correct my color-blindess. I was led to believe I was colorblind. I am not colorblind. I see color. I just don't see colors like someone with normal vision. The Enchroma Website tested me and told me I am a strong Deutan colorblind. When I asked my Eye doctor about it, he was very skeptical as "deutan" is not a word used in eye medicine much. We talked about my green/green color deficiency and I learned that my eyes are incapable of seeing enough of the reflect light off some colors to register them as they are commonly seen. Here is a quick breakdown of the Enchroma solution to this. You are wearing a pair of color filtering glasses. they block some colors in order to enhance other colors to "correct" those color intensity so that you can see the targeted colors "correctly" The problem is that only someone with color impairment can really verify whether they work or not. The glasses work pretty well outdoor where there is an abundance of visible light. If you move indoors where the is less light or worse artificial light like incandescent or florescent which make light with their own color intensity the glasses stop filtering what you are seeing and the colors will actually get worse. Another thing I picked up on is if you watch a movie in a movie theater, the available light is gone and with glasses on I can barely see anything as highlights are lost as the glasses filter out what I am seeing. This is less true with TVs and LCD screens like phones and computers. The reason for this is that I can actually see most colors as intensely as a normal person would because of the color correction built into these screens. I only wear my EnChromas now (they are prescription glasses) on rare occasions when I go outside. They are practically useless with inside wear and after wearing them for long periods I tend to get eyestrain and a headache. Which points to the fact that corrective glasses should not be making your eyes do the work. Would I recommend these glasses? No. They are too expensive to experiment to see if they do what you are hoping. Maybe if they price of them were under a $100. Maybe. I would be curious to see how many people still wear theirs for regular use.
