Ordered 2 penn reels on 8/31/2019. At the time they were shown on backorder. Today 10/12/2019, I still havent received my reels. Credit card was charged, but no merchandise. Numerous emails (that takes them forever to respond) and all I get is they are due in. Tackle Direct used to be a great company to work with, but each year their customer service gets worse and worse. Contacted Penn and they have them in stock, as does BassPro. So apparently I have been lied to for over a month. Spent thousands of dollars with Tackle Direct, but now I will look elsewhere. Now the battle to get my money back

I went into my order knowing the item was back ordered in mid September 2019. Order confirmation was e-mailed to me...and that was it. Three phone calls later. I cancelled the order. Every time I called they could not give me a expected shipping date. Item was not in stock, no expected delivery until Fall. The main problem is. They already charged my credit card for an item they never shipped or had in inventory. So know i get an e-mail that the order has been cancelled. The order number they used doesn't match the order number they gave me when order was placed. Have to wait to get my money re-credited to my charge card. Money should have not been charged to begin with. Now I have to pay interest on something that I never received or they had to begin with.

No order status after two weeks, what year is it?
Placed an order two weeks ago. No order status or tracking information on the status page after one week. I sent an email after trying to call to ask about the order got a response saying most of the order is "with our distributors to fulfill". Wait. what the heck, even your name implies that you have the product Tackle"direct" but I guess you dont. Still not even an estimate of when it might ship. Another week passed and still nothing. Some kind of communication of a delay would have been respectable. Save your excuse of having a new system. Thats not the customers problem.

Tackle Direct is scamming Great Customers!
Tackle direct customer service is totally unacceptable! I ordered a terez rod weeks ago, I received the rod in a damaged tube and the rod was broken. I called immediately and spoke with Bernie (have the phone call recorded). Bernie said he would sent out a new one immediately. However 4 weeks have gone by. I have sent 5 emails regarding this matter with no response. I will be checking with the USPS to see if they have made a claim against the damaged goods. If they have made a claim against damaged goods and still haven’t sent the rod, they will be hearing from my P.A. Tackle direct should double check my account and the amount of money I have spent! I’m not small potatoes. Still no response. I will be taking my business elsewhere unless tackle direct mediates this situation with great urgency!

Our reel had no hardware!
My daughter was excited about receiving a fishing pole for her birthday, picked out one from Tackle Direct and received it on time, however she’s never been able to use it, several months later because it came without hardware to attach the handle to the reel... called Tackle Direct and they couldn’t help us. It was a big waste of money and we will never order from them again!
