Speakers now on stands and set-up completed

After one month delay I got the front stands and completed the installation and setup of the system. The break-in of the speakers was done in the mean time on the floor ( about 4 weeks). MY SYSTEM >Front: 1528 monitor (basalt) in front with custom stand 16" high. >Center: 1528 Center (home made angled stand) >Surround:1723 Monitor S on off-the shelf 28" stands surround >Else: 2 SVS PB3000, McIntosh mx122 processor, Classe CAV180 amp, and TEAC VRDS-25 and Magnetar udp-900 players. IMPORTANT - My search for a stand with an adequate height: After lot of thinking and angle calculations I decided for a pair of custom 16" stands for the front 1528 monitors. I think the 16" stand provides a better listening height (at my sitting distance). In my opinion, the Arendal stand, is good for the shorter 1528 bookshelf or 1528 monitor in a very long room. Then why not the tower?. LISTENING The Arendals replace my ProAc R3.8, CC-2 and R2.5 that failed in December (not repaired). Probably I can't be objective in a fare comparison by memory after 3 months. But I feel that the Arendal sound is more pleasant and improved. I enjoyed a lot listening again to a system with a properly completed set-up. > 2 channel with the 1528 Monitors is a delight. Very open, pleasant, musical, detailed and very good stage. > Multichannel is also great. Dialogue is clear and very good sound. Although in 5.1.4 there is always the support and visual distraction of the film. Note:I didn't remove the seals of the ports yet. This will be a second phase in the near future. Maybe bass will be deeper (still a question mark). CONSTRUCTION Superb. 1528 They look as a top class quality. Top finishing. Very nice not-traditional looking speakers. Cons: 1) 1528 weight: being alone, mounting the 1528 monitor on the stand and placing the set in the right spot was a challenge. 2) 1728 monitors S: in my opinion holes for scrws the speaker on stands would be a plus. I placed them on the stand plates with Blutack and it seems good. But I am nervous for kids. I never had monitors or bookshelves in the past. PACKING AND DELIVERY: Excellent. I am very satisfied from my purchase and recommend strongly the Arendal speakers. Top quality....

The level of support prior to purchase…

The level of support prior to purchase over several days, answering all my questions relative to using arendal 1713s speakers using my existing equipment and their comparison thoughts to my current speaker. Their customer service is great responding to any and all emails very promptly with requested info. Their overall help lead me to making an informed decision to purchase

Awesome Support

I had to change my order which was easy and convinient due to Gunnar from the support Team. Fast shipment from Arendal and very fast money return because i downgraded the Surrounds from Monitor Speakers to Surrounds. All 1723 Series.

Fast to straighten out my order that…

Fast to straighten out my order that wasn't shipped do to "IT" issues 2 weeks in a row. Happy with Thomas and Gunnar but Arendal needs to correct the issues and get closer to estimated shipping dates especially on their flagship products. Also feel since i was patient on this they could have refunded my puck pro charge as a courtesy for the "IT" issues.
