Disappearing meter readings and dysfunctional website

I am a Rebel Energy customer and have been experiencing the following issues: my submitted meter readings disappear (!) from their website, and their Bills page constantly displays the message "Something went wrong." They have been unable to fix this problem for weeks, and it remains unresolved. I recommend avoiding Rebel Energy. Update: One month later, the submitted meter readings continue to disappear from their website. Rebel Energy is unable to fix their mistakes.

Good customer service

For customer service I would say they have very lovely staff. Spoke to two different people who were both very polite patient and helpful and fixed my issue quickly. The energy rates are competitive but I will keep shopping around for the best deal. But nice to speak to some decent humans, even if the wait time to answer was a little long.

Error on first bill - £740 after 1 month

First bill I've received is for £741 based on an estimate for 1 month gas usage - there's been nobody living at the house and there's a smart meter. Asking for the money with no explanation, this is an average households yearly bill and I'm being asked for it after a month. Escalating with Rebel but until there's a solution this is a very unpleasant thing to receive.
