Make sure you cancel within 30 days for refund

I was not paying enough attention to the 30-day cancellation policy and should have. There were so many red flags for the abysmal experience that would follow that I absolutely should canceled then. It has been so bad. I had my initial advisor leave the company and was notified about it the same day we were supposed to have the big tax advising appointment and to take care of outstanding items I needed to get done for my business. I received a message on their portal about it and told to reschedule. But I literally could not reschedule because I was not set up in the portal to do so. The person who wrote me the note never responded to my message asking for help. I couldn’t reach anyone and so eventually called my sales rep who scheduled another call for me a few days later. My husband and I set aside time to do that only to have them no show for the rescheduled call. Then the complaint case I submitted about all this was never responded to at all. I received an email some time later saying it had been resolved. Other things that are less egregious but still just poor service are: - I had a couple reps call me around 15 min late and not even acknowledge it. (They always call you, that is how it works, so you have no control over anything.) - I didn't even get the basic onboarding call until 2 weeks after I signed up (remember 30-day policy) - their response times to messages on their portal seem to be 3-5 business days, and even then they don’t address key issues questions you asked about. Like basic things they said they’d do to follow up, like problems with getting your bank account linked for bookkeeping purposes. Finally, the last customer support person I just talked to about wanting to cancel and get a refund (asking for an exception to the policy bc of the terrible experience) hadn’t even looked at the note I had written about canceling the service explaining my situation. He said no one had sent it on to him. (Their systems and processes are awful. I mean, this is an accounting firm!) The rep did not seem concerned at how badly the company had provided service, he just kept repeating that I was outside the 30-day window and that he was trying to help me by putting me in touch with an advisor who would solve all those things I had mentioned had happened. I was agitated on the phone for sure, but you know how companies who care about service have skilled reps who know how to listen to you even when you’re clearly upset and actually acknowledge and validate your situation? This was the opposite of that. My case is being further escalated now, they’ve canceled my service, and when I asked for contact info, there is none. So now that they’re done with me, what are the chances they follow up to have a conversation about a refund? So definitely cancel your subscription within the 30 days. Better yet, ignore their hard sell and don’t sign up in the first place.

Translated Tax Info to English

He translated the tax language into English. He would use acronyms that I questioned from time to time, but made himself clear. I learned a lot of what I need to be more aware of going forward.
