I chose Permaframe on recommendation…but...

I chose Permaframe on recommendation from a colleague, but it transpires the company has been taken over since his positive experience in 2022. Firstly, the online system indicated the frames were not ready, I called your office to find that the frames were indeed made and so a date could be arranged - why had I not been contacted? Secondly, the fitters were not speaking highly of Permaframe. When the work was completed, the fitters told me they were going, but left before I was able to inspect the work. To my great disappointment, I found that one of the handles was damaged and one of the frames was also damaged. I would have expected the fitters to point these defects out to me, as they would have known about them without doubt. I called Permaframe immediately and was asked to take photos of the damage. No apology was offered. I emailed the photos and also I said that I would withhold the balance of the payment until the work was completed to my satisfaction. Thirdly, 2 weeks later I received an email saying that payment is due. I rang the finance department and explained what was happening – I was even asked if the installation department was aware of the issues. It seems there are broken lines of internal communication in Permaframe. Fourthly, I was then contacted the following week as the parts had arrived to arrange a date. The representative who I spoke to that day was the first one from Permaframe to apologise for the service Permaframe had so far provided. Fifthly, an installer replaced the damaged handle, but when he went to replace the frame, he found the new one had been manufactured incorrectly, and clearly not quality checked before coming to my home Sixthly, I was offered a goodwill payment of £50, asked if I thought it was acceptable, when I said 'no', the T+C's were quoted at me about delays in time - my complaint was about the shoddy attitude of the installers, the lack of internal comms Permaframe, and poor customer service. And no more goodwill payment was offered. Considering the company prides itself on exceptional customer service, it clearly needs to look at the customer service when things go wrong.

The fitters arrived promptly as arranged. They clearly explained the fitting, demonstrated afterwards and cleared up perfectly. Both were very polite.

We contacted permaframe on a non urgent basis to advise us on the best way to renew our old structure. Ross Baxter visited us late afternoon at the given time and studied the situation. He gave us advice on how they would take down the old conservatory and what the new one would be looking like when constructed with a quote for the complete job. We gave a deposit at this meeting as we found it acceptable. I have to say that Ross didn't try to sell this structure but we found it easy and felt comfortable buying it. With a 2 month lead time our new structure should be ready for late winter which is well within our expectations for use in the spring and on. Thank you Ross and your team. Regards. Marie and Steve.

Breach Of Contract and non-refund of deposit

I am writing this review to express my profound disappointment and frustration with Permaframe Ltd based on my recent experience. I had entered into a contract with them for the installation of a lean-to and replacement windows. Unfortunately, the entire process has been nothing short of a nightmare. First and foremost, Permaframe Ltd failed to adhere to the procedures outlined in our contract. From the very beginning, the representative was unable to utilize their software to accurately price the work, indicating a lack of competency and professionalism. This was a red flag that unfortunately set the tone for the entire project. The surveyor assigned to my project had been sent on another job and when they were asked what was going on, they could only fit me in a month later and even then, I had to chase them up to make happen. This unprofessional behaviour, especially as the winter season was approaching, has left me cold and angry. To make matters worse, despite my attempt to seek resolution and obtain a refund for the deposit, I have been met with a complete lack of response from Permaframe Ltd. This level of customer service is unacceptable, and it is evident that they have no regard for the well-being and satisfaction of their customers. Given the magnitude of the issues I have faced, I am now left with no choice but to involve my solicitor and pursue legal action through the small claims court to rectify this situation. It is disheartening to see a company that had a good reputation, neglect its contractual obligations, and leave a customer in such a situation. In conclusion, I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before engaging with Permaframe Ltd. My experience has been one of incompetence, unprofessionalism, and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Save yourself the trouble and seek services elsewhere. We received our deposit back but the company would not discuss anything with us. Funny they don't have many recent reviews on their website and they're all good ones. Stay clear.

Great design experience

I had a very good meeting with Marc the designer who really helped me to decide what I wanted, what would fit. The design was created there and then, in 3 D, and costed and we could look at both the cost and space implications of changes. It was a very seamless service, initiated by a knock on the door from his colleague which was also handled well - not keen generally on cold calling. I am not sure I am going to go ahead right now, but will certainly come back to Permaframe if I do
